5 THEREFORE, IT IS NECESSARY

TO SUBMIT TO THE AUTHORITIES,

NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE PUNISHMENT

BUT ALSO BECAUSE OF CONSCIENCE.

6 This is also why you pay taxes,

For the Authorities are God's Servants,

Who give their full time to Governing.

(Romans 13:5, 6)

The apostle Paul admonishes us

To Submit to Governing Authorities.

While this is true in many respects,

It is Not True

When the Authorities require that we do

That which is Against God and His Word.

What is against God and His Word

Sends those who do so to Hell,

And God does not want us in Hell

By Obeying Governing Authorities;

That would be Absurd.

John the Baptist had to tell the Governing Authority

That it was not Right, before God, to have his brothers wife.

Christ Jesus had to tell the Governing Authorities

That they were Not Right before God and His Word.

As Christians, our First Duty

Is Obedience to the TRUTH,

GODS TRUTH.
