DAILY FIRE: 'TEACH US TO PRAY'

ALL PRAYER  TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).  DAILY FIRE! I am charged by Jesus Christ Himself always to pray and never to lose heart.  Turn over each page of the New Testament and mark every prayer reference…then you will see how prayer is emphasized. In the first gospel alone, there are forty-one references, and 230 throughout the New Testament, some of them extensive, with ten different words for prayer. We read about “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit” (Ephesians 6:18). Different methods and moods—all available for man to use against the devil.  Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” So He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
