I am thankful to God that I am not what I used to be. For many people, life has no meaning or purpose. This is not how God planned it. He created us to live in a relationship of love with Him. But instead, we have run away and hidden from God, as if we were allergic to Him:
"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden." (Genesis 3:7–8)
Jesus put it like this: "Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light"(John 3:19). Lost in the darkness, far from home, what hope is there for us? It is important to review these questions to see where God has brought us from - the hopeless, filthy depths of sin - and so we are better equipped to offer His light of hope and salvation to the world still lost in the darkness today.
"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it." (John 1:4–5) Let the light of Christ Jesus fill your heart—and shine from you today!
