FINDING REST IN CHRIST

'Come to Me, all you who are Weary and Burdened,

AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.

Take My Yoke upon you and learn from Me,

For I am Gentle and Humble in heart,

And you will fine Rest for your souls.

For My Yoke is Easy and My Burden is Light.'

(Matthew 11:28-30)

In order to find Rest In Christ

We must first take His Yoke upon ourselves.

The Yoke of Christ is complete Trust in Christ;

Complete reliance upon Christ

And His Infinite Love and Power;

It is allowing Christ to live In and Through us

By the Power of His Indwelling Spirit;

It is finding Rest in Obedience to His Commands.

He becomes our Way, our Truth and our Life.

His Yoke is Easy and His Burden is Light

Because it is Reliance upon the One Who is All Powerful,

All knowing, All seeing, and Present Everywhere.

It is He Who carries our Burdens,

When we give them to Him;

Trusting Him, is to give Him our Burdens.

It is understanding the Gentle and Humble heart of Christ;

That even though He is All Powerful,

He is also Gentle and Humble in heart

And therefore, we can be Gentle and Humble in heart,

Finding Rest for our souls In Him;

In complete reliance upon Him.
