My time on earth is finite, but my life with God is eternal. Some people can believe anything, even if it took place a long time ago, or will take place a long time ahead. They can accept a promise like: “All things work together for good to those who love God” (Romans 8:28), which might mean eternity; but they find it harder to believe: “I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26). They believe in the God of Moses and Elijah, that Jesus did work miracles, that the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples: but that is hollow believing unless it transfers to today, believing that He will carry on the good work!
Be a present-tense believer!
