GUESS WHO SEES NAZIS UNDER TRUMP’S BED
Hillary-worshipping party fears fascism on America's doorstep
WASHINGTON – With Hillary Clinton’s poll numbers dropping, the Democratic Party nominee’s exuberant cheerleaders in the Communist Party USA are bordering on apoplectic hysteria in their fear-mongering about a Donald Trump presidency.
- About Trump’s concerns of a “rigged” system, the latest dispatch from the CPUSA claims this shows “Trump’s disdain for U.S. democratic institutions” as well as “his disdain for international laws, treaties and conventions.” It is also “undermining confidence in democratic institutions,” which is, the new reds say, “a key part of the process by which fascism came to power in Germany and dictatorships did so around the world.”
- The party says it can see “Trump setting himself up as president in exile.”
- “For sure, Trump is the fruit of the seeds of hate the GOP and right-wing have been sowing for the past 30 years,” writes John Bachtell, national chairman of the party. “Directed at white voters, extreme right ideology has found fertile soil in discontent, economic insecurity and fear faced by millions. Trump is Tea Party 2.0. His statements are a clarion call to his supporters to engage in a struggle to overthrow the will of the majority.”
The hype is not noticeably different from what Hillary Clinton herself says about Trump. In fact, the party quotes her to bolster its claims about the threat he represents: “As Hillary Clinton starkly warned, ‘All of this adds up to something we have never seen before. Of course there’s always been a paranoid fringe in our politics, a lot of it rising from racial resentment. But it’s never had the nominee of a major party stoking it, encouraging it, and giving it a national megaphone. Until now.'”
It all points to “a new level of danger to democracy and peace,” writes Bachtell, as the race tightens.
“Regardless of the election outcome, the movement Trump started will continue,” he writes. “A new kind of authoritarian and fascist movement is emerging capable of engaging millions and funded by right-wing billionaires.”
Bachtell accuses Trump of handing the keys to his political kingdom to a “movement of political gangsterism with deep ties to Neo-Nazi, KKK, survivalists and those subscribing to anti-Semitic conspiracies of an ‘elite global cabal’ and ‘international bankers’ and an assortment of other fascist fringe and arch-authoritarian types.”
Gone is the confidence the CPUSA has expressed in a “landslide” victory by Clinton just weeks ago.
The full-throated backing of Clinton by the Communist Party began as soon as it became clear Bernie Sanders would not be the nominee of the Democratic Party, as WND reported after the convention. Since then, the CPUSA has found few, if any issues, on which it disagrees with the Democratic Party nominee.
