NOAH'S ARK HOSTS PREMIERE OF 'ATHEIST DELUSION'

Filmmaker Ray Comfort calls one of a kind attraction 'far beyond anything I was expecting'

Hundreds witnessed the film’s premiere. Thousands swarmed the venue before the event. Hundreds of thousands watched online in 200 countries around the world.
It’s just another extraordinary day at The Ark Encounter.
The spectacular Ark attraction, a life-size reconstruction of Noah’s Ark built by the Christian apologetics organization Answers in Genesis, recently hosted the premiere of Ray Comfort’s newest and most compelling documentary, “The Atheist Delusion.”
The film claims to be able to destroy atheism with “just one question,” and received a rapturous reception from the crowd assembled in the most extraordinary location possible.
“The film got a rousing ovation,” reported Ken Ham, founder and president of Answers in Genesis. “The audience was appreciative of Ray Comfort and Living Waters’ effort in producing a film that helps equip Christians to lovingly confront the culture with the truth of God’s Word. In fact, one lady shared with Ray how some of her daughter’s friends had committed suicide, and she was able to explain to her daughter that the secularist culture – that teaches there is no life beyond this one, that this is all there is – prompts some people to suicide as a way to ‘end it all.’ This lady said she was getting copies of ‘Atheist Delusion’ to share with her daughter and her daughter’s friends.”

Ham said 500 invited guests attended the film premiere, with 6,900 people attending the Ark Encounter the day of the event to greet both Ham and the film’s producer Ray Comfort. Hundreds of thousands also watched the film’s premiere live on DayStar TV.
Comfort also said the day was a success.
“The event went without a hitch, which was a relief because it was live and that’s always unnerving,” he joked.
The film has been called a “masterpiece” by some Christian reviewers and has already garnered more than 217,500 views on YouTube as of this writing.
“We’re hoping it reaches millions,” said Comfort. “And aside from being available on YouTube, over 60,000 DVDs have gone out for Christians to pass on to their friends and loved ones.”
As Comfort observed, there has been a concerted effort by atheists to reduce the film’s rating on several websites. The comment section on YouTube has also been marked by vulgarity and personal attacks.
“It’s normal for atheists to hate anything that exposes atheism for its unscientific foolishness,” Comfort said. “In just three days the YouTube comments section has had thousands of comments, and almost all of them are extremely abusive. This is because atheists resort to character attacks when they have no answer to an argument. They shed other arguments like water off a duck’s back, but ‘The Atheist Delusion’ had ripped the feathers off the duck.
“It has got under their skin because it gives irrefutable scientific evident for the existence of God – with just one scientific question.”

Comfort says many atheists are tied more to their social circles and perceived standing in society rather than intellectually committed to their secular beliefs.
“For an atheist to say goodbye to atheism, it would mean he would have to say goodbye to his atheist friends, who would then mock him because he had forsaken his brain and now believed the Bible’s ‘fairy tales,'” Comfort explained. “He would be considered an anti-science, anti-choice, narrow minded, fundamental, homophobic, hate-speech bigot who believed in burning witches, talking donkeys, stoning gays, and of course, slavery.
“If the God of the Bible is real, then that would mean porn and fornication were morally wrong. He would also have to say goodbye to his intellectual dignity and believe that Noah built a silly ark. And that is out of the question. The prodigal prefers the pigsty. The only avenue they can take is to get mad, vilify the messenger, and then hide behind the aprons of bogus science.”
However, Comfort claims most Christians have been enthusiastic about the film. He encouraged Christians to watch the film and and rate it at IMBD.
“Over 1,000 Christians have so far given the film a ten star rating – which means that they think it was ‘excellent,’ with 500 atheists giving it a one star,” Comfort asserted. “This has lifted the average rating to about six stars.”
Local media has confirmed more than 400,000 people have flooded the new Noah’s Ark since it opened in July, with believers coming from all around the country and even from other nations.

Comfort, who has traveled the globe as one of the world’s best-known Christian evangelists and someone with numerous books and films to his credit, said seeing the Ark Encounter for the first time was an unforgettable experience. He urged believers around the country not to miss attending this truly one of a kind attraction.
“Many had told me that it is incredible, but they grossly understated it,” he enthused. “It is utterly amazing, completely overwhelming, and wonderfully incredible…far above anything I was expecting. I have been through the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., and The Louvre in Paris, and the Ark Encounter is so much better in a hundred different ways.”
The Ark Encounter spans 510 feet long, 85 feet wide and 51 feet high. Featuring animatronic characters from the Bible, live animals and incredible educational displays, the Ark Encounter is an incredible theme park which is delighting visitors of all ages. However, as Ken Ham notes, the mission of the Ark Encounter, and of Answers in Genesis, could not be more serious.
“The Ark Encounter is a Christian themed attraction, yet it’s not a frivolous amusement park,” he told WND. “The Ark is part of the greater apologetics ministry of Answers in Genesis and serves as a great resource for bringing attention to the truth of God’s Word in a culture that has compromised Scripture. And the Ark is unapologetically evangelistic as we share the gospel with our visitors. The Ark and our Creation Museum make the Bible come alive for our visitors as we use large exhibits, theaters, displays, animatronics, and other cutting-edge technology to impact people of all ages and from all religious backgrounds and cultures.”
