NOT TO VOTE IS TO VOTE

Exclusive: Janet Porter offers 3 reasons she's casting ballot for Trump

Like the many of the “never-Trumpers,” I vocally opposed Donald Trump and voted for Ted Cruz in the primary. But there are three reasons why I’ll be voting for Donald Trump Nov. 8.

Reason No. 1: Life. This isn’t a “vote Republican” article. Having just run for the Ohio Senate, I know firsthand how the Republican Party has become corrupt. The Republican Platform is great, but sadly, most in the Republican Party do as little as possible to maintain power – voting to regulate abortion, but never voting to END it.

Choice A: Donald Trump – the guy who chose as his running mate Mike Pence, who pledged to send Roe v. Wade into the “ash heap of history.” Trump has promised what no other presidential candidate has ever promised and what no president has ever done. Trump promised to put only pro-life judges on the Supreme Court.

Not only has no one ever promised to put only pro-life judges on the Supreme Court, no president has ever done it. Ford didn’t do it. He gave us Justice Stevens. Reagan didn’t do it. He gave us Justices O’Connor and Kennedy. George H.W. Bush gave us Souter. And George W. Bush gave us Roberts, who voted to uphold the lethal Obamacare.

Trump did something else no other presidential candidate has ever done: He gave his actual list of the judges he’ll appoint. And they’re all great. Then he promised to vet all future candidates through the conservative Federalist Society. This is a pro-life dream come true.

The next president will bring us a brand new Supreme Court – first, by filling the vacancy left by my favorite justice, Antonin Scalia. In the next president’s term, Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be 88 years old, Justice Kennedy 85 and Justice Breyer 83. So, this election will shift the Supreme Court. And the choice is clear: Hillary’s judges will be pro-death; Trump’s judges will be pro-life.

Choice B: Hillary Clinton, who praised the woman who openly professed that black lives don’t matter: Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger, who said, “We don’t want the word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population” (1939 letter to fellow eugenicist Clarence Gamble describing the “Negro Project”).

And they’re well on their way to accomplishing that racist goal – with cities like New York where more black lives are killed by abortion then are born.

Hillary, will force us to fund abortion, including Planned Parenthood, even after it’s known that they chop up human babies and sell their organs for profit. The bottom line: Hillary will stack the Supreme Court with pro-abortion justices who will never let us protect unborn children again.

The second reason I’m voting for Donald Trump is Liberty.

There’s a thing called the “Johnson Amendment,” which has put a gag rule on pastors and kept them silent when they most need to speak. Fear of losing their tax-exempt status has removed the influence of the pulpits to help keep our nation on course. Donald Trump said, “Let’s just get rid of it.”

With Trump we’ll get free speech for pastors, judges who’ll protect our religious liberty, and Trump said people are going to start saying “Merry Christmas” again.

Hillary, well, we know what she’ll do with our liberty and our critical Second Amendment freedom that protects it.

Reason No. 3: the Pursuit of Happiness.

I just recorded a radio commentary about how Christians are hiding their Bibles and meeting in secret because of death threats. But it wasn’t in China, Pakistan or Iran; it was in Germany. Un-vetted Muslim refugees are now attacking Christians on the street at knifepoint. In fact, some in the German legislature are calling the deportation of any migrant who insults or attacks Christians.

But, what’s better than deporting refugees who threaten and attack us? Never letting un-vetted refugees in in the first place. It’s not “politically correct,” but Donald Trump will protect us anyway.

We can’t pursue happiness if we are not safe from terrorism. In addition to building a wall to make sure immigration is legal and vetted, Trump has promised to help those who want to work by removing the tax burden and strangling regulations. What if we really could make America great again?

Hillary will be a disastrous Obama third term.

This election isn’t about personalities or preferences – we all made our preference in the primary. But, before you decide to sit this election out, ask yourself three vital questions:

1. Which course of action will save the most lives?
2. Which vote will save the most liberty? And
3. What choice will allow us to pursue happiness in safety?

God actually told us NOT to sit it out when He gave us his voter guide in Deuteronomy: He said to, “Choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

You might feel good about yourself sitting out this election, but I can assure you, unborn babies won’t. The main choice set before us is life or death for millions.

As Dietrich Bonhoeffer said: “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

I would add to that, “Not to vote is to vote.”

The three reasons I’ll be voting for Donald Trump are: Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – and because the alternative to Trump/Pence is unthinkable.
