BE PREFECT

You, therefore, Must be Perfect as your Heavenly Father is Perfect

[That is, grow in to complete maturity of godliness in mind and character,

You shall be Holy, for I the Lord your God am Holy. [1 Pet. 1:15.]

As the One Who called you is Holy,

You yourselves also be Holy in all your conduct and manner of living.

For it is written, You shall be Holy, for I AM Holy [Lev. 11:44, 45.]

So Consecrate yourselves and be Holy, for I AM Holy;

Neither Defile yourselves with any manner of thing

To be your God;

Therefore you shall be Holy, for I AM Holy. [1 Pet. 1:14-16.]

Therefore, since these [great] Promises are ours,

beloved, let us Cleanse ourselves from Everything

That Contaminates and Defiles body and spirit,

And bring [our] Consecration to Completeness

In the (reverential) Fear of God.

Him we Preach and Proclaim,

Warning and Admonishing every one

And Instructing every one in all Wisdom,

[In comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God],

That we may Present every person Mature—

Full Grown, Fully Initiated, Complete and Perfect--

In Christ the Anointed One.

Let Endurance and Steadfastness and Patience have Full Play

And do a Thorough Work,

So that you may be [people] Perfectly and Fully Developed

(With no Defects), Lacking in Nothing.

(James 1:4, AMP)

Does God Almighty call us to something that is Impossible?

Is it not a Fact that:

I have Strength for All Things IN CHRIST Who Empowers me--

I am ready for Anything and Equal to Anything

THROUGH HIM who infuses inner strength into me,

[That is, I am self-sufficient IN CHRIST'S SUFFICIENCY].

For His Divine Power has bestowed upon us All Things

That [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness,

THROUGH the (full, personal) knowledge of Him

Who called us by and to His own Glory and Excellence (virtue).

By means of these He has bestowed on us

His Precious and Exceedingly Great Promises,

So that THROUGH them you may Escape (by flight)

From the Moral Decay (rottenness and corruption)

That is in the World because of Covetousness (lust and greed),

And become Sharers (partakers) OF THE DIVINE NATURE.

Furthermore I count Everything a Loss

Compared to the Possession of the Priceless Privilege--

The Overwhelming Preciousness,

The Surpassing Worth and Supreme Advantage—

Of Knowing Christ Jesus my Lord,

And of Progressively

Becoming more Deeply and Intimately Acquainted with Him,

Of Perceiving and Recognizing and Understanding Him

More Fully and Clearly.

For His sake I have lost everything

And consider it all to be mere Rubbish (refuse, dregs),

In order that I may WIN (gain) CHRIST, the Anointed One.

We are Called to be ONE, as the Father and the Son are ONE.

(John 17:11)

ONE with the One Who is PERFECT!
