REPUBLICAN CONVENTION SET FOR TRANSGENDER SHOWDOWN
Caitlyn Jenner preps for 'political Olympics' defense of LGBTs
The official line of the Republican Party, as adopted by a recent Platform Committee vote, may be to oppose the Obama administration’s open-door bathroom policy for transgenders – but the question of LGBT rights within GOP ranks is far from answered, and high-profile convention-goers like Bruce Jenner are pledging more fight is on the way
Jenner plans to go to an event at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame set for July 20, right in the midst of the GOP’s convention, July 18 through 21, that’s being hosted by an LGBT political lobby, the American Unity Fund. American Unity Fund was set up by millionaire Paul Singer to press the government to impose pro-LGBT policies.
And Jenner, who legally changed his name to Caitlyn – and who, in 1976, took home the gold at the Olympics for the decathlon – is promising a hard-charging fight for LGBT rights.
“The party conventions are like the political Olympics, and I’m excited to be headed to Cleveland to stand with my fellow LGBT Republicans and allies,” he said, to the Daily Beast.
His goal is to press policy change in the 31 states that aren’t currently forcing schools and private businesses to allow men access to women’s bathrooms and changing facilities.
“[This change] cannot be achieved without bipartisan support,” he said. “I want to do my part to persuade more Republicans to support freedom for millions of LGBT Americans.”
As part of the policy push, a group of LGBT organizations are going to run 60-second commercials on Fox News that show a transgender saying he can’t use mens’ bathrooms that correspond to his biological gender because doing so “puts me at risk for harassment and violence,” LifeSiteNews.com reported.
Fairness USA, a group that receives funding from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation – which in turn is funded in part by billionaire George Soros – is putting out the spots on television. In the ad, the transgender also speaks to fears that opening bathrooms to both genders would jeopardize the safety of women and children by saying nothing would happen.
“It’s already illegal to enter a restroom to harm someone,” the transgender said, LifeSiteNews.com reported. “Updating the law … wouldn’t change that.”
The Subcommittee on Healthcare, Education and Crime, a panel of the Republican Platform Committee, already debated and voted by a wide margin to include as a plank a measure that offers strong support to the 11 states suing the Obama administration over its bathroom mandates.
West Virginia delegate Melody Potter said after the vote, a couple days ago, Yahoo News reported: “I believe it’s time for Republicans to take a stand on it… It’s a safety issue.”

Homosexuality is Against God and His Word--Against God's established order for mankind. "Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to Sexual Immorality and Perversion. They serve as an Example of those who Suffer the Punishment of Eternal Fire." (Jude 7) The Platform of the Democrat Party is Against God and His Word and they will Suffer the Eternal Consequences for their actions.
