TRUMP: CHINA ALLOWED TO 'RAPE' U.S.

'It's the greatest theft in the history of the world'

Donald Trump, Republican front-runner for president, told an Indiana crowd that China must be reeled in – that the communist-controlled country has been allowed to essentially “rape” the United States when it comes to trade.

“We can’t continue to allow China to rape our country and that’s what they’re doing,” Trump said, during a rally in Fort Wayne, in reference to the high number of China’s exports when compared to that of the United States, various media reported.

“That’s what they’re doing,” he went on, NBC News reported. “It’s the greatest theft in the history of the world.”

But under a Trump administration, all that would change, he vowed.

“We’re going to turn it around,” he said, CNN reported. “And we have the cards, don’t forget it. We’re like the piggy bank that’s being robbed. We have the cards. We have a lot of power with China.”

Trump also made clear he wasn’t “angry at China,” but rather with “grossly incompetent” American leaders.

This isn’t the first time Trump has used such rhetoric to describe America’s failings in the face of China. In 2011, he said “China is raping this country” during a tour of a defense manufacturing firm in New Hampshire, CNN reported.
