There are numerous reasons why abortion is still legal in America. A lack of education about abortion and its cruel and devastating impact on society, as well as abortion's enormous popularity (an estimated 1.2 million abortions are performed in America each year) are just some of the primary reasons why abortion still exists.
Some people think that the end to abortion is a far-fetched idea or an unrealistic hope. But they are wrong.
Abortion can be made unthinkable and unavailable in our lifetime, with people recognizing and believing that all humans - pre-born and born - have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Our beliefs drive our actions. When Martin Luther King Jr. asked if civil rights should be extended to blacks and other minorities, his actions flowed from his beliefs. When Susan B. Anthony asked if women should have the right to vote, her actions followed her beliefs.
Now is the time we need to take bold actions that follow our beliefs for the most vulnerable among us. We must speak up for the unborn who are silent in their fight for LIFE and put an end to abortion. Will you join us?
