NETANYAHU TO 'SURROUND ALL OF ISRAEL WITH A FENCE'

Prime minister vows to keep out Arab 'wild beasts'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would like to “surround all of Israel with a fence” to keep out Palestinian and Arab enemies – “wild beasts,” as he called them.

The Guardian reported Netanyahu announced the plan while taking a tour of the Jewish nation’s border with Jordan and explained the fence would help keep Hamas at bay.

“[It’s part of] multi-year plan to surround Israel with security fences to protect ourselves in the current and projected Middle East,” he said, the Guardian reported.

He went on, speaking of the dire need for walls and fences: “In our neighborhood, we need to protect ourselves from wild beasts. At the end of the day as I see it, there will be a fence like this one surrounding Israel in its entirety. We will surround the entire state of Israel with a fence, a barrier.”

Netanyahu also said his government was looking at ways of filling in the gaps along existing fencing by the West Bank that was ordered built by Ariel Sharon, the nation’s former prime minister.

The fencing plan mirrors what U.S. presidential hopeful Donald Trump announced as intent for the country’s border with Mexico – that he would build a fence and force the Mexican government to pay for it.
