THE BIRTH OF CHRIST JESUS

This is how the Birth of Jesus Christ came about.

His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph,

But before they came together,

She was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man

and did not want to expose her to public disgrace,

He had in mind to divorce her quietly.

But after he had considered this,

An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a Dream and said,

'Joseph son of David,

Do not be afraid to take May home as you wife,

Because what is Conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

She will give birth to a Son,

And you are to give Him the name Jesus,

BECAUSE HE WILL SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS.'

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the Prophet:

'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a Son,

And they will call Him Immanuel'--which means,

'GOD WITH US.'

When Joseph woke up,

He did what the angel of the Lord had Commanded him

And took Mary home as his wife.

But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a Son.

And he gave Him the name Jesus.

Today in the town of David a Savior has been Born to you;

He is Christ the Lord.

(Luke 2:11)

For God so loved the World

That He gave His One and Only Son,

That whoever believes in Him shall Not Perish

But have Eternal LIFE.

(John 3:16)

For He must Reign until He has put ALL His Enemies under His feet.

(1 Corinthians 15:25)

For He Himself is our Peace;

Who has made the Two One

And has Destroyed the Barrier,

The Dividing Wall of Hostility,

By Abolishing in His Flesh the Law

With its Commandments and Regulations.

His Purpose was to create in Himself ONE NEW MAN

Out of the Two, thus making Peace,

And in this One Body to Reconcile both of them to God

Through the Cross

By which He put to Death their Hostility.

A Shoot will come up from the Stump of Jesse;

From his roots a Branch will bear Fruit.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him--

The Spirit of Wisdom and of Understanding,

The Spirit of Counsel and of Power,

The Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear of the Lord

And He will Delight in the Fear of the Lord.

(Isaiah 11:1-3)

In love a Throne will be Established;

In Faithfulness a man will sit on it--

One from the House of David-

One who in Judging seeks Justice

And speeds the Cause of Righteousness.

(Isaiah 16:5)

I will place on His Shoulder the KEY to the House of David;

What He opens No One can Shut,

And what He Shuts No One can Open.

(Isaiah 22: 22)

SOON, in our Day, the Christ, Jesus,

Will Complete the Purpose of His Coming;

He will put ALL His Enemies Under His Feet,

Having Gathered to Himself all the WILLING,

Who will Rule and Reign with Him in Jerusalem, on Mount Zion

For a Thousand Years.
