GODLESS DEMOCRATS WANT A NATIONAL DARWIN DAY

WILL CONGRESS GO APE FOR NATIONAL DARWIN DAY?

'They're intolerant of Christianity and want to replace it with their own religion'

Bob Unruh

A Democrat resolution in Congress to create a federal Charles Darwin holiday in honor of the theory of evolution is an attack on Christianity, contends Ken Ham, the young-earth creationist who founded Answers in Genesis.

“It’s because they’re intolerant of Christianity and want to replace it with their own religion,” said Ham, who has appeared on news programs such as “The O’Reilly Factor,” “Fox and Friends,” “The Situation Room” and “Good Morning America.”
A resolution by Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., would make Feb. 12 national “Darwin Day.”
Blumenthal is the second member of Congress this month to push for a holiday celebrating the founder of the theory of evolution.
Atheist groups have applauded the effort. The holiday would celebrate “the achievements of the biologist Charles Darwin and affirming the scientific consensus supporting the theory of evolution,” the Secular Coalition For America said in a statement.
The same plan had been introduced by Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., in February, but it was unsuccessful. And it previously had been introduced by former Rep. Rush Holt, D-N.J., and Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif.
“This resolution celebrates the intellectual bravery and scientific discovery that contribute to the well-being of all people,” Kelly Damerow, the interim executive director of the Secular Coalition for America, said in a statement. “Congressional recognition will help foster the scientific inquiry and natural curiosity that builds a brighter future for all mankind.”
Ham has authored multiple books, including “How Do We Know the Bible is True?” which addresses more than 20 relevant issues regarding the Bible, such as whether it has contradictions, whether miracles really happened, where the accounts in Genesis originated and the age of the Earth.
He’s debated the evolution with Bill Nye, the “science guy,” and his Creation Museum has attracted millions of visitors.
Ham told WND the resolution is a sign of the nation’s current move to suppress Christianity and promote beliefs such as evolution.
While America was built on the Judeo-Christian ethic and worldview, secularists are becoming more and more intolerant, he said, citing demands to remove Nativity scenes, crosses and other representations of the nation’s faith heritage from public view.
“Evolution is a religion of this day,” he said. It’s the atheist trying “to explain life without God.”
Faith undermines atheism’s assumptions, he said.
“They want to replace it with their own religion,” he told WND. “The intolerant atheists now increasingly are trying to impose their religion on the culture as a whole.”
He asserted the premises of evolution “lack credulity” and require a “blind faith.”
Science – which focuses on observation – repeatedly has affirmed the veracity of the Bible, while some of evolution’s assumptions simply are scientifically impossible, he said.
He told WND the same tactics used on those who believe God created the world in six days are being used on skeptics of global warming theories.
In a blog post Wednesday, Ham elaborated on the issue.
“What many of these secularists and climate change alarmists are doing with climate change is the same thing that many secularists do with the creation/evolution issue. Creationists are accused of ‘denying science’ because we deny that molecules-to-man evolution occurs,” he wrote. “When secularists and the media say that we ‘deny science’ – like National Geographic did last year – they stir people’s emotions and make them think that we deny reality. But creationists don’t deny science! We first need to define what is meant by science, like I did during my debate with Bill Nye ‘the Science Guy’ last year.
“There are two different kinds of science: observational and historical. Observational science is done in the present and is directly testable, observable, and repeatable. It’s what put man on the moon, the rover on Mars, and builds cell phones and medical innovations. It’s what enabled creation scientist Dr. Raymond Damadian to invent the MRI. Historical science, however, is very different. It’s not directly testable, observable, or repeatable because it deals with the past. It must be interpreted, and what you believe about the past is going to determine how you interpret the evidence.
“So creationists don’t deny science – we deny the evolutionary interpretation of the evidence.”
He continued: “And the same situation exists with the climate issue. Because some people, often people who start with God’s Word and not man’s ideas about the past, don’t agree that man is responsible for much of climate change, then climate-change alarmists and the media class such people as climate-change deniers. But we don’t deny climate change! We simply are skeptical of the rather scant and spurious evidence of man’s big responsibility, because we come from a different starting point.
“You see, those who have a different worldview – such as biblical creationists – see small changes in climate differently than those who believe in millions of years. And we also recognize that climates have been changing since the global Flood of Noah’s Day about 4,350 years ago. So, obviously, we’re going to reach different conclusions…”
Ham, who is working on a full-size Noah’s Ark replica, is routinely acclaimed as a speaker and commentator on creation and evolution.
The Creation Museum, opened by Answers in Genesis in 2007, contains dozens of world-class exhibits such as animatronic dinosaur models and an allosaurus fossil.
Ham had a daily radio feature on more than 850 stations and founded Answers magazine.
He uses his platform also to comment on a wide range of issues. Earlier this month, he took President Obama to task for calling people to rally around “common ideals” in America to fight terrorists.
“If what he calls ‘common ideals’ are not built on the authority of the Word of God, then the common ideals are just man’s fallible opinions – which, frankly, will mean that America will not prevail. A fallible human being like the president can claim all he wants that America will prevail, but there’s a God in heaven who is in absolute control of the affairs of the nations!”
He continued: “The president mocks God’s design for marriage, and endorses a gross sin of gay ‘marriage’ and homosexual behavior. He has endorsed the lie of a false doctrine in regard to marriage. … And the president has helped this nation be ‘defiled with blood.’ He has condoned the murder of millions of children in their mother’s wombs. The same president who said ‘God bless the United States of America’ on Sunday night actually said this in July: ‘God bless Planned Parenthood.’ In other words, he asked God to bless the biggest child-murdering machine in America! Will God ever bless a nation that is so guilty of defiling this land with the shed blood of millions of children?”
He said God “will not hear” such prayers.
“How could God hear this plea when the iniquities of this nation and the president area so great?”
“The president can talk about the threat of continued terrorism all he wants. But unless this nation deals with gross sin that permeates the culture, I sadly predict that this nation will not see the end of terrible tragedies, like terrorism.”

My comments: Obama and the Democrats want to TRANSFORM America into a godless, Socialist, Secular Humanist STATE, in Defiance of God and His Word. They are Ruthless and Relentless, and will use Any Means to accomplish this.
