Do
you not know that in a Race all the runners compete,
But
[only] one receives the Prize?
So
Run [your Race] that you may lay hold [of the Prize]
AND
MAKE IT YOURS.
Now
every athlete who goes into training conducts himself temperately
And
restricts himself in all things.
They
do it to WIN A WREATH that will soon wither,
But
we [do it to receive a Crown of Eternal Blessedness]
That
cannot wither.
Therefore
I do not run uncertainly—without definite aim.
I
do not box as one beating the air and striking without an adversary.
But
[like a boxer] I buffet my body--
Handle
it roughly, discipline it by hardships--And subdue it,
For
fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel
And
things pertaining to it,
I
myself should become UNFIT--
Not
Stand the TEST and be unapproved--
And
Rejected [as a counterfeit].
(1
Corinthians 9:24-27, AMP)
Just
as with the apostle Paul each of us is running a Race;
A Race
that nothing else in this life compares to in importance.
A Race
that determines where we will spend Eternity;
In the
Presence of God or in Eternal Torment;
A Race
of Faith
That
has Eternal Consequences for everyone around us;
Everyone
we come in contract to.
Do
they see Christ in us and want the same?
Do we
run our Race not only to Win the Prize,
But to
Encourage others to Win the Prize;
Do we
use our Talent to win more to Christ,
Or
bury it in the dirt?
Let us
Resolve to win more by our Witness for Christ.
You
shall be My Witnesses in Jerusalem
And
all Judea and Samaria
and
to the ends—the very bounds—of the Earth.
(Acts
1:8, AMP)
Be
always on the Watch,
And pray that you
will be able to Escape All that is about to happen,
And that you may be
able TO STAND before the Son of Man.
(Luke 21:36)
Today,
the World is raging against God, rushing toward Oblivion. (Psalm 2)
This
World in it's present form is passing away. (1 Corinthians 7:31)
America
is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.
Save
yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)
As
God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!
Father,
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
