PRAYER BRINGS BRAIN DEAD GIRL BACK TO LIFE

Doctors Say There’s No Chance, Take Brain Dead Girl Off Life Support… Then This Guy Showed Up

Taylor Hale, a 17-year-old from Iowa who, after being flung from the top of a car in September 2011, fell into a coma, suffered a brain hemorrhage and then entered into a medical “point of no return.” She was pronounced clinically brain dead at the time.
When doctors informed her parents that “it was time for them to start thinking about donating her organs and making preparations for her funeral,” they were devastated.
That very same afternoon, Jeff Stickel, a chiropractor and a devout Christian, stopped by the hospital and asked Taylor’s parents if he could pray with them on her behalf.
According to reports, he placed his hand on Taylor’s neck and prayed for God to spare her life.
Later that day, Taylor’s parents decided to go ahead and have the doctors take her off life support. But instead of dying, Taylor drew breath on her own.
As the hours passed, she kept showing more and more signs of improvement: “(H)er brain activity picked up, her eyelids were aflutter, and for the first time in a week she was trying to talk.”
She eventually woke all the way up, after which she had to spend several months re-learning how to perform the most basic of tasks, including eating, talking and walking.
This week, the formerly brain dead teen is preparing to graduate from Waukee High School on Monday.
It has not been easy for her to get this far. The accident affected her cognitive abilities and took away her long-term memory. Furthermore, many of her former high school friends turned their backs on her.
But she kept trudging forward in life by learning to drive, beginning to date and — now — graduating from high school.
According to the U.K. Daily Mail, While she was grateful to all the medical professionals who helped her, she believed that the ultimate thanks goes to a higher power.
“I’m always thankful to all the doctors and nurses and therapists who helped me get better, but God did most of the saving,” she explained to reporters.
We may never know for certain whether or not Jeff Stickel’s prayer had anything to do with her miraculous recovery, but one thing is for certain — it never hurts to pray.
