US SENATE VOTES 98-1 AGAINST OBAMA'S BUDGET

BREAKING: US Senate Votes 98-1 to Shut Down Obama’s Agenda

Earlier this year, President Barack Obama revealed his budget plan for the next fiscal year, and once again it is a laughable joke.

Obama’s budget is a delusional picture of a Utopian dreamworld that does little more than raise taxes and increase spending while doing absolutely nothing to lower the annual budget deficit or the insanely huge national debt.

Although it was likely an unnecessary vote, the Senate nevertheless brought Obama’s budget plan to the floor the other day to gauge how much support there was among Democrats for Obama’s agenda.

Apparently, there isn’t much support at all, as the vote was 98 -to- 1 against Obama’s spending plan, with only Tom Carper, Democrat from Delaware, voting in favor of the budget.

This vote mirrors similar votes in Congress over the last couple of years, as Obama’s fantastical plans to redistribute wealth have been roundly denounced by both parties.

According to The Blaze, Texas Sen. John Cornyn said, regarding Obama’s budgets, “Since 2011, it’s only gotten two votes for the president’s proposed budget, 1,023 votes against.”

To be sure, many Democrats do support at least some aspects of Obama’s plans, but his budgets are so far removed from reality that they are unable to support it as a whole.

They generally use it only as a base from which to pick and choose various pieces to form their own plans, which still tax and spend too much, but are at least closer to something approaching reality.

Meanwhile, the Republican-led House and Senate are actually going through the standard process to craft a real budget, the first actual budget since 2009, hopefully bringing an end to the year to year, sometimes month to month, Continuing Resolution bills.

Obama has shown that he has no intention of working with Congress, even on his own party, and merely wants to tax and spend the country into oblivion.

Hopefully, with nearly all Democrats standing against Obama’s agenda now, a bipartisan budget deal can be reached that will actually cut spending, lower taxes, address the deficit and debt and keep America from sliding further toward a bankrupt socialist pit of chaotic lawlessness.
