THE GIFT OF GOD

The Pharisees heard that Jesus was gaining

And baptizing more disciples than John,

Although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but His disciples.

When the Lord learned of this,

He left Judea and went back once more to Galilee.

Now He had to go through Samaria.

So He came to a town in Samaria called Sychar,

Near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph.

Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as He was from the journey,

Sat down by the well.

It was about the sixth hour.

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her,

'Will you give Me a drink?'

(His disciples had gone into the town to by food.)

The Samaritan woman said to Him,

'You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman.

How can You ask me for a drink?'

(For Jews do not associate with Samaritan.)

Jesus answered her,

'If you knew The GIFT of God and Who it is that asks you for a drink,

You would have asked Him and He would have given you Living Water.'

'Sir,' the woman said,

'You have nothing to draw with and the well is deep.

Where can you get this Living Water?

Are you greater than our father Jacob,

Who gave us the well and drank from it himself,

As did also his sons and his flocks and herds?'

Jesus answered,

'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,

But whoever drinks the Water I give him will NEVER thirst .

Indeed, the Water I give him will become in him a Spring of Water

Welling up to Eternal LIFE.

The woman said to him,

'Sir give me this water so that I won't get thirsty

And have t keep coming here to draw water.'

He told her. 'Go, call your husband and come back.'

'I have no husband,' she replied.

Jesus said to her, 'You are right when you say you have no husband.

The fact is, that you have had five husbands,

And the man you now have is not your husband.

What you have just said is quite true.'

'Sir,' the woman said, 'I can see that you are a prophet.

Our fathers worshiped on this mountain,

But you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.'

Jesus declared, 'Believe Me, woman, a time is coming

When you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

You Samaritans worship what you do not know;

We worship what we do know, for SALVATION is from the Jews.

Yet A Time is Coming and has now come

When the True Worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in TRUTH,

For they are the kind of worshipers the Father SEEKS.

God is Spirit, and His worshipers MUST worship in Spirit and in TRUTH.

The woman said, 'I know that Messiah' (called Christ)' is coming.

When He comes, He will explain EVERYTHING to us.'

Then Jesus declared, 'I Who speak to you AM He.' (John 4:1-26)

It is interesting that Jesus reveals the deepest reality in God

To this Samaritan woman he had just met.

The reality that there is a GIFT of God; the ULTIMATE Gift God has to give:

Living Water, the Holy Spirit indwelling the BELIEVER,

Welling up to Eternal LIFE.

That those who receive this GIFT

Will be able to worship God, in and through this GIFT, the Holy Spirit.

Listen to Christ Jesus speak of this GIFT again:

On one occasion, while He was eating with them,

He gave them this command:

'Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the GIFT My Father promised,

Which you have heard Me speak about.

For John baptized with water,

But in a few day you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:4-5)

Listen again:

'If any man is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.

Whoever BELIEVES in Me, as the Scripture has said,

Streams of Living Water will flow from within him.'

By this He meant the Spirit

Who those who believed in Him were later to receive.

Up to that time the Spirit had not been given

Since Jesus had no yet been glorified. (John 7:37-39)

[When was the Spirit given? At Pentecost!] Listen again:

He said to me [John]: “It is done. I AM the Alpha and the Omega,

The Beginning and the End.

To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost

From The Spring of the Water of LIFE.

He who OVERCOMES will inherit ALL this,

And I will be his God and he will be My son. (Revelation 21:6-7)

Listen again:

The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come!'

And let him who hears say, 'Come!'

Whoever is thirsty let him come;

And whoever wishes, let him take The Free GIFT of The Water of LIFE.

Those who OVERCOME

Will have received The Free GIFT the Water of LIFE.

Those who ask for and experience their Personal Day of Pentecost

Will receive the GIFT of God, the Living Water, the Water of LIFE

In the here and NOW.

It is the Spirit of God living in and through us that enables us to OVERCOME

This wicked World and Satan who rules it.

I pray that those who read this message

Have received their Personal Day of Pentecost;

That they have received The GIFT of God,

And that Christ is living in and through them, enabling them to OVERCOME.

Today, the World is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)

This World in its present form is passing away. (1 Corinthians 7:31)

America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.

Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)

As God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!

Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
