REV. GRAHAM: 'POLITICIANS AREN'T GOING TO SOLVE THE MESS'

Rev. Graham: ‘Politicians Aren’t Going to Solve the Mess…It’s Going to be God’

Referencing the views of his father, Pastor Billy Graham, about the many problems in the world today, Rev. Franklin Graham said that politicians will not solve “the mess that we have” -- not “Republicans or Democrats or Tea Party” -- but that the solution will come from God Himself and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Reverend Franklin Graham, who is president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA),  noted that his father at age 96 is “doing pretty good” and that “his mind is still clear, still engaged,” in an interview on Fox’s Hannity on Dec. 19.
“But he’s still concerned about the world in which we live, and he sees, especially as we come to Christmas, that the answer to the problems of the world is the prince of peace, Jesus Christ,” said Rev. Graham.
“Politicians aren't going to solve the mess that we have,” he continued.  “It's not going to be Republicans or Democrats or Tea Party, but it's going to be God Himself, and his Son, Jesus Christ.”
Host Sean Hannity then said the “world is in a bit of a mess right now,” to which Rev. Graham added that his father, Billy Graham,  “believes with his heart that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no man comes to the Father except through Him.”

The reverend and Hannity then discussed “Operation Christmas Child,” a program run by Rev. Graham’s international relief group Samaritan’s Purse.
Every Christmas, millions of people pack a shoe box with toys for either a boy or a girl, send the box to Samaritan’s Purse, and then the group distributes them to less-fortunate children worldwide.
When the program started years ago, it was distributing several thousand toy boxes. This year, it will deliver more than 10 million.
“We want the children of the world to know that God hasn't forgotten them, that God loves them, that He cares for them,” said Rev. Graham.  “And for most of these kids that get a box like this, it's the first gift they've ever had in their life. And they are overwhelmed by it.”

The growth and success of the operation are due to God, said the reverend, who added,  “I'm not that smart. We started off with just a few thousand and each year it's grown. But Sean, we ask everybody to pray. When they put a box like that together, the people that put this box together, they prayed for the child who is going to get this box.”
“I don't know, God knows, but when we pray, Sean, and we know God will hear the prayer of one righteous person, but you have 10 million people praying for children, just think what God might do,” said Rev. Graham.
Franklin Graham, 62, is married and has five children and numerous grandchildren. He and his wife, Jane Cunningham Graham, live in Boone, N.C.
Pastor Billy Graham, 96, whose evangelical preaching has reached an estimated 2.2 billion people, lives at his home in Montreat, N.C. His wife of 64 years, Ruth Bell Graham, died in 2007.
My comments: America's "mess" is one that has been made by a people in Overt Rebellion against God, His Chrsit Jesus, His Word, His Covenant and His Commandments. As long as this remains the case, there is no solution to america's "mess." God stands by, ready to provide the "solution" but it comes only by Faith and Obedience.
