PREPARED FOR WINTER

PREPARED FOR WINTER
By Stephanie M. White

When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. Proverbs 31:21 NIV

Fall is a time of preparation. In many areas snow is beginning to fall and things need to be done in the natural. Spiritually, we need to prepare, too.

The Proverbs thirty-one woman has no fear because her household is clothed in scarlet. We can live fearless when we clothe ourselves in the blood of Christ. Living a life clothed in the blood is nothing more than living aware of all that Christ has done for you.

As we enter winter we may find ourselves in cold, desolate times, but if we will remain conscious of all that Christ has done for us, we will prevail. For example, a time of lack may come in your winter of life. Whenever we experience lack in any area we must go to the Word on that subject. Clothe yourself! Cover yourself, cover your situation, with the Word of God. If God declares that those who seek Him will not lack any good thing (Psalms 34:10), then we can clothe ourselves with that promise and live in faith until we see it come to pass. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world – faith will overcome lack, but if we refuse to live by faith we will not overcome.

Faith overcomes; faith is our victory – faith that comes from consistently taking in the Word of God (1 John 5:4; Romans 10:17). Our lives require a steady intake of God’s Word!

Clothe yourself with Scarlet; cover yourself with the Word of God and all that Christ has purchased for you!
