Former VP Candidate: Is Obama Waging Jihad Against America?

Earlier this year, former Libertarian Vice Presidential candidate Wayne Allen Root wrote an op-ed piece for Townhall that raised the not insignificant rhetorical question:  Is Obama waging jihad against America?

Root begins by dismissing the various claims and theories regarding where President Barack Obama was born, and whether or not he is Christian or Muslim.  For arguments sake, and for brevity, Root accepts the premise put forward by Obama himself that he is an American-born Christian and moves on from there.

However, Root goes on to say that just because Obama may be an American-born Christian, that doesn’t mean he isn’t a Marxist socialist or a Muslim sympathizer.  He gives ample evidence supporting those two claims.

First, the definition of a Marxist, which seems to suit Obama perfectly:  “Someone who believes in government control over the people. Someone whose obsession is income redistribution. Someone who dedicates his life to taxes, spending, debt, regulations and bureaucracy. 

Since Obama is the biggest spender in history, the biggest taxer in history, the biggest debt creator in history, and the biggest creator of regulations in history, it’s safe to say Obama is a Marxist.”

Next, Root tackles the suggestion that Obama is an Islamist, or one who is supportive of and sympathetic to the Muslim faith and Islamic causes.

“Obama’s policies have led to crisis and chaos throughout the Middle East. His policies led to the Arab Spring. His policies have certainly hurt our friend and ally Israel. His approval rating in Israel at times has been close to zero. 

His policies have emboldened our enemies. His premature pullout from Iraq has led to the creation of aradical Islamic state. He is certainly overly sympathetic to Muslim causes. 

He rushes to defend Islam, yet never says a peep in defense of Christianity or Christians being persecuted around the world.”

Root then quotes wise words from his father, who once told him, “Don’t listen to a man’s words, watch his actions.”

He goes on to produce a laundry list of actions, or more accurately, inactions by the president to a whole host of dangerous and deadly affairs around the world in which Christians are being persecuted by Muslims. 

He notes that Obama says nothing as Christians are persecuted and murdered, but immediately jumps up and calls for peace when Muslims are the victims of persecution and violence.

He also points out a number of incidents in which our own federal government, controlled by Obama, has seemingly persecuted Christians and the Christian faith, including in the VA and the military.

Root also describes how Obama has allowed radical Islamists to come to America and preach hateful and vitriolic messages about waging jihad against Western society.

He further wonders how all of this combines with Obama’s obvious lack of effort to secure the border, and how he has in fact virtually opened up the border to tens of thousands of illegal immigrants.  Root points out the obvious, that radical Islamic terrorists can cross the wide-open southern border just as easily as the unaccompanied children that flooded into our country this year.

In summation, Root says, “I’ve always assumed Obama is an American-born Christian. I’ve never made any accusation otherwise. But his thinking is as foreign as it gets. We all feel it. We all know it in the pit of our stomachs. Something is very wrong. Everything we believe in…everything America stands for is under attack.”

“It sure feels like we have someone waging Jihad from inside the White House.”

We would be hard-pressed to argue otherwise.

My comments: It should be OBVIOUS to every Christian that Obama is waging a war against America and against Chrsit Jesus. He will go down as one of the most WICKED men in the history of the World.
