acid-attack
A terrorist threw acid on a family near southern Jerusalem Friday, according to Magen David Adom (MDA). A terrorist approached the Hussan checkpoint in car close to 1:40 pm Friday afternoon and launched acid at civilians standing at a bus stop there.
The acid injured a family waiting there - a family from Beitar - including four girls between the ages of 8 and 10 in the lower extremities and the father, about 40, who is suffering from burns to the face. United Hatzalah gave a slightly different version of events, saying that the acid was sprayed on the mother of the family and three daughters, but no details on the father or other family members.
MDA teams treated the injured at the scene; the five have been transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem medical center in the capital for further treatment. The terrorist was shot by security forces and is wounded; he is now in serious condition. Eyewitnesses at the scene told Walla! News that he also was holding a screwdriver in one hand during the attack.
