BREAKING: Here’s Something Huge Sheriff Joe Just Announced About Obama

Friday, November 21st, 2014
The sheriff of the fourth-most populous county in the nation filed a lawsuit against President Barack Obama to prevent the implementation of the amnesty program he announced to the nation in an address Thursday night.
Attorney Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch filed the suit against Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and Immigration Services chief Leon Rodriquez in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on behalf ofMaricopa, Ariz., County Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Klayman, the founder of both Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, is a former federal prosecutor.
Among other things, the suit asked the court to issue a “permanent injunction declaring the amnesty programs to be unlawful,” WND reported.
“This unconstitutional act by the president will have a serious detrimental impact on my carrying out the duties and responsibilities for which I am encharged as sheriff,” Arpaio said in a statement. “Specifically, it will severely strain our resources, both in manpower and financially, necessary to protect the citizens I was elected to serve. For instance, among the many negative [e]ffects of this executive order, will be the increased release of criminal aliens back onto streets of Maricopa County, Arizona, and the rest of the nation.
“I am not seeking to myself enforce the immigration laws as this is the province of the federal government,” Arpaio added. “Rather, I am seeking to have the president and the other defendants obey the U.S. Constitution, which prevents this executive order from having been issued in the first place. This unconstitutional act must be enjoined by a court of law on behalf of not just myself, but all of the American people.”
As Obama’s own statements have said, it is the purview of the Congress to change the laws regarding who is deported, who is allowed to stay, and who is permitted to work toward citizenship. Although we have not read it in its entirety, Arpaio’s suit seems to desire only to restore the balance of powers to the federal government that the Founders intended when they wrote the Constitution.
It’s actually pretty ridiculous that such a duty would fall to a county sheriff in Arizona, but, unfortunately, that seems to be the current state of the union under this president.
