The Lord Brings Disaster

When Disaster comes to a city has not the Lord caused it? (Amos 3:6)

As we witness the disaster of the earthquake in Napa California

It brings to mind this passage of Scripture and the reality of it.

California being one of the most godless states in the US.

Ruled by the godless, Secular Humanist, anti-Christ Democrats and others,

Who have run the State into Bankruptcy.

Disasters are afflicting virtually every area of the US. Why?

Because America has become a godless Nation

Forsaking the God of the Founders of the Nation.

They are in overt Rebellion against God, His Christ Jesus,

His Word, His Covenant and His Commandments.

The Rulers of America are Persecuting Christians

By FORCING them by Law

To do that which is against their Faith and Conscience.

By so doing, they are Persecuting Christ Jesus Himself. (Acts 9:4)

Surely the Lord does nothing

Without revealing his plan to His servants the Prophets.

The Lion has roared—who will not fear?

The Sovereign Lord has spoken—who can but prophesy? (Amos 3:7-8)

Today, we have the Word of God including these passages from Amos

That tell us the character and nature of our God.

BUT WHO IS LISTENING TO GOD TODAY?

Have not Christians created for themselves an IMPOTENT GOD

Who does nothing but bless his people?

A God of Mercy and Grace Who will put up with anything.

But this is not the God of the Bible.

This is not Christ Jesus, Who is God,

Who is the same yesterday, today and FOREVER. (Hebrews 13:8)

This is not the Jesus Who said:

'Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets;

I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

I tell you the Truth,

Until Heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter,

Not the least stoke of the pen, will by any means disappear from the Law Until EVERYTHING is accomplished.' (Matthew 5:17-18)

In speaking to Israel, God is speaking to America today:

'I gave you empty stomachs in every city

And lack of bread in every town,

Yet you have not returned to Me,' declares the Lord.

I also withheld rain from you

When the harvest was still three months away.

I sent rain on one town, bu withheld it from another.

One field had rain; another had none and dried up.

People staggered from town to town for water

but did not get enough to drink,

Yet you have not returned to Me,' declares the Lord.

'Many times I struck your gardens and vineyards,

I struck them with blight and mildew.

Locusts devoured your fig and olive trees,

Yet you have not returned to Me,' declares the Lord.

I sent plagues among you as I did to Egypt.

I killed your young men with the sword,

Along with your captured horses.

I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camps,

Yet you haver not turned to Me.' declares the Lord.

I overthrew some of you as I overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

You were like a burning stick snatched from the fire,

Yet you have not returned to Me,' declares the Lord.

'Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel [America],

And because I will do tis to you,

PREPARE TO MEET YOUR GOD, O Israel [America].

He Who forms the mountains, creates the wind,

And reveals His thoughts to man,

He who turns dawn to darkness,

And treads the high places of the earth--

The Lord God Almighty is His Name. (Amos 4:6-13)

Hear this Word, O house of Israel [America],

This lament I take up concerning you:

'Fallen is Virgin Israel [America], NEVER TO RISE AGAIN,

Deserted in her own land, with no one to lift her up.'

This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

The city that marches out a thousand strong for Israel

Will have only a hundred left;

The town that marches out a hundred strong will have only ten left.'

This is what the Lord says to the House of Israel [America]:

SEEK ME AND LIVE;

Do not seek Bethel, do not god to Gilgal, do not journey to Beersheba.

For Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will be reduce to NOTHING.'

SEEK THE LORD AND LIVE,

Or He will sweep through the House of Israel [America] like a fire;

It will DEVOUR, and Bethel will have not one to quench it.

YOU WHO TURN JUSTICE INTO BITTERNESS

AND CAST RIGHTEOUSNESS TO THE GROUND

(He Who made the Pleiades and Orion, Who turns Blackness into Dawn

And Darkens Day into Night,

Who calls for the waters of the sea

And pours them out over the face of the land--

THE LORD IS HIS NAME--

HE FLASHES DESTRUCTION ON THE STRONGHOLD

AND BRINGS THE FORTIFIES CITY TO RUIN,

YOU HATE THE ONE WHO REPROVES IN COURT

AND DESPISE HIM WHO TELLS THE TRUTH.

You trample on the poor and force him to give you grain.

Therefore, though you have built stone mansions,

You will not live in them;

Though you have planted lush vineyards, you will not drink their wine.

For I know how many are your OFFENSES and how great are your SINS.

You oppress the RIGHTEOUS and take BRIBES

And you DEPRIVE the poor of JUSTICE in the courts.

THEREFORE THE PRUDENT MAN KEEPS QUIET IN SUCH TIMES.

FOR THE TIMES ARE EVIL.

SEEK GOOD, NOT EVIL THAT YOU MAY LIVE.

Then the Lord will be with you, just as you say he is.

HATE EVIL, LOVE GOOD;

Maintain Justice in the courts.

Perhaps the Lord God Almighty

Will have Mercy on the REMNANT of Joseph [America]. (Amos 5:1-15)

Today, the World is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)

This World in its present form is passing away. (1 Corinthians 7:31)

America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.

Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)

As God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!

Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
