PM Netanyahu On The Importance Of Christian Support

Our son, Michael, and I were talking about his trip to Israel last week, and I asked him what sticks in his mind the most. There were a lot of powerful memories, but here is one that he will never forget:

“I saw children that can recognize the difference between incoming rocket fire and outgoing artillery just by the sounds they make. No child should be forced to know that! One man shared with me his 7-year-old daughter's story. She's so crippled with fear she won't spend any time alone, not even wanting to use the restroom by herself. She clings to her mom and dad all day long.”

This heartbreaking story underlines the impact and need for our support of Israel. I have been friends with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for more than 30 years. He fully understands the importance of Christian support for Israel and the Jewish people. Many times he has told me how much he appreciates your prayers for him and for his nation. These were his words on the importance of our help:

“I don't believe that the Jewish State and Modern Zionism would have been possible without Christian Zionism. I think that the many Christian supporters of the rebirth of the Jewish State and the ingathering of the Jewish people in the 19th century made possible the rise of Jewish Zionism—modern Jewish Zionism. We always had the deeply ingrained desire to come back to our land and rebuild it. This is a prayer of the millennia of the Jewish people...and the many Christian friends that we had...created the practical foundation, the political foundation for the emergence of Zionism.”

The sad reality, though, is that many Jewish people have never heard this part of the story. Today, those of us who love God and the Jewish people have the opportunity once again to do something special as we stand together for the survival of Israel. When tens of thousands of Jewish people will go through the Friends of Zion Heritage Center to hear the story of Christian love for the first time ever, you will be fulfilling prophecy. They will call you “blessed.” Please do your very best today to help us make this wonderful dream come true.

May I take your gift of love for the suffering Jewish people to help meet their needs? Jesus said that what we do for “the least of these”—His Jewish brothers and sisters in need—we do for Him. I know that you love the Lord, and I am asking you to show that love today with your gift for the urgent work of the Jerusalem Prayer Team.

Your gift today to support the Jerusalem Prayer Team is a blessing to God's Chosen People, and it will activate His promise of blessing in Genesis 12:3 in your life. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.
