If you read the papers or listen to the secular, Liberal Left media, you would conclude that poor Hamas is the victim of the war in Gaza. The terrorist government that has fired thousands of missiles into Israel, that has sent a plague of suicide bombers to blow up Jews, whose own charter calls for the destruction and elimination of the State of Israel, is treated like an innocent victim of the destruction, rather than the cause.
Hamas, a radical Islamist terror organization, is an acronym for Harakat al-Muqawamah al- Islamiyah (Islamic resistance movement.) The overall leader, Khaled Meshaal, is based in Qatar. Not only is his base far removed from the war in Gaza, virtually the entire leadership of Hamas and its command and control center is there as well. No, Hamas’s leaders are not fighting in Gaza; they are hiding behind the safety of a rich Gulf Oil state that boasts the world’s third largest natural gas and oil reserves...and funds their attacks on the Jewish people. This is the enemy Israel is facing...and the enemy that we must eventually face as well.
We are being overwhelmed with urgent requests for aid from Israel to help those who are hurting because of the fighting. We can't say no—but we can't say yes unless you say yes. This is not my appeal for help...it is the appeal of Jewish mothers and fathers, grandparents, little children and Holocaust survivors. Please do your best when you send your gift today.
