Stop Obama's Internet Giveaway

In light of President Obama's plan to surrender control of the Internet to an as-of-yet "undefined" group, I'd like to share with you some powerful words from The Washington Times:
"Open communication on the Internet has allowed free men and women to paint the globe with the liberating message of democracy. Tyrants, despots and charlatans, large and small, understand they can no longer get away with concealing the truth as they once did. The Net spreads Western values, culture and language throughout the world. This gives the internationalists, such as President Obama, severe heartburn."
The above statement is chilling in that it gives Americans a realistic glimpse of our present and future. This is what awaits if patriots sit back and allow Obama to turn over the governance of the Web to a group that doesn't share our values.

As former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has said of the situation, "Every American should worry about Obama giving up control of the Internet. ... This is very, very dangerous."

You've signed the national petition opposing Obama's Internet giveaway, now directly impact those in Congress who have the power to stop him!

+ + What Surrender Of The Internet Really Means

For months, Grassfire has been warning Americans what to expect should Obama succeed in relinquishing control of this U.S. creation to an international body.
According to The Washington Times, ICANN, the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, is a private company that is subject to "enormous influence from other nations that had nothing to do developing the Internet and do not share or tolerate democratic values."
Up to now, ICANN has handled its responsibilities without issue. However, free of U.S. control, that will likely change in a hurry. Numerous sources have already reported that ICANN has shown "an ambition to undermine the Western character of the system."
Left unchallenged, changes of language and protocols will allow the Internet -- our Internet, to be co-opted, corroded and compromised by International minds who don't embrace Western values like liberty and freedom.
Don't allow that to happen. Click here now to schedule your faxes for immediate delivery to House and Senate leaders urging them to fight to retain U.S. control of the Internet.

House and Senate leadership needs to hear from Americans who are demanding the Internet stays free, open and protected from tyrants and dictators. Schedule your personalized faxes for immediate delivery by clicking here now!

Thank you for the stand you're taking.
