Overcoming The World Through Christ

'Take Heart! In this world you will have TROUBLE.

But I have OVERCOME the world.' (John 16:33)

Christ Jesus tells us here that there is a world to OVERCOME.

A world that is ruled by the Prince of the Air, Satan and his demonic horde.

Listen:

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,

But against the Rulers, against the Authorities,

Against the Powers of the Dark World

And against the Spiritual Forces of Evil in the heavenly realms.

(Ephesian 6:12, NIV)

For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood—

Contending only with physical opponents--

But against the Powers, against [the Master Spirits who are]

The world Rulers of this Present Darkness,

Against the Spirit Forces of Wickedness

In the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. (Ephesians 6:12, AMP)

How do we OVERCOME? Listen:

Therefore put on God's complete armor,

That you may be able to RESIST and STAND YOUR GROUND on the Evil Day.

[Of danger]

[The Day when you are attacked by one of the many of the Devil's schemes]

And having done all [the crisis demands], to STAND [firmly in your place].

STAND therefore—hold your ground—

Having tightened the Belt of Moral Rectitude and Right Standing with God;

And having shod your feet in preparation

[To face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness

And the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of Peace.

[Isa. 52:7] [The entire teaching of Christ Jesus].

Lift up over all the (covering) shield of Saving Faith,

Upon which you can quench all the Flaming Missiles

Of the Wicked [One]. [Satan and his demonic horde]

And take the Helmet of Salvation, in every season—IN THE SPIRIT,

[Pray IN THE SPIRIT, in TONGUES and with the mind]

With all [manner of] prayer and entreaty.

To that END keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance,

Interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's Consecrated People).

(Ephesians 6:13-18)

Understand this above all:

Little children, you are of God--You belong to Him--

And have [already] defeated and OVERCOME them

[The agents of antichrist], because He [Christ Jesus]

WHO LIVES IN YOU is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

[Satan and his demonic horde].

If Christ Jesus lives in and through you;

If you have been Baptized in His Spirit, IMMERSED in His Spirit;

If you EMBRACE the entire teaching of Christ Jesus and live it,

Satan cannot TOUCH YOU!

We know [absolutely] that any one Born of God does not

[Deliberately and knowingly] practice committing SIN,

Bu the One [Christ Jesus] Who was begotten of God

Carefully watches over and protects him--

Christs divine presence within him preserves him against the Evil--

And the Wicked One does not lay hold (get a grip) on him

We know [positively] that we are of God,

And the WHOLE WORLD [around us]

Is under the Power of the Evil One.

And we [have seen and] know [positively]

That the Son of God has [actually] come to this world

And has given us understanding and insight

Progressively to perceive (recognize)

And come to know better and more clearly Him Who is True;

And we are IN HIM Who is True, in His Son Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

This is the True God and LIFE Eternal.

Little children, keep yourselves from Idols—false gods,

[From anything and everything

That would occupy the place in your heart due to God,

From any sort of substitute for Him

That would take first place in your life].

Amen. So let it be. (1 John 5:18-21)

The Angel of the Lord [Christ Jesus] encamps around those who fear Him,

And He delivers them. (Psalm 34:7, NIV)

For the Angel of the Lord is a guard,

He surrounds and defends all who fear Him. (Psalm 34:7, NLT)

Those who FEAR Christ Jesus; who in REVERENT AWE of Him,

OBEY Him and keep His Commandments;

Who keep His Whole Teaching;

The Evil One, Satan and his demonic horde cannot touch him.

These are those who like Christ Jesus, OVERCOME the world.

Then I heard a strong voice in Heaven, saying,

Now it has come, the Salvation and the Power and the Kingdom

(The dominion, the reign) of our God and the Power

(Sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ, the Messiah;

For the accuser of our brethren,

He who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and night, Has been cast out! [Job 1:9-11.]

And they have OVERCOME (conquered) him by means

Of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their Testimony,

For they did not love and cling to life even when face with death--

Holding their lives CHEAP till they had to die [for their witnessing].

(Revelation 12:10-11, AMP)

You have been SAVED to OVERCOME this world and Satan who rules it.

And Christ in you is able to accomplish this as you allow Him

TO LIVE IN AND THROUGH YOU.

Today, the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)

America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.

Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)

As God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!

Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
