Christians Forget The Greatest Commandment

Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together.
One of them an expert in the Law tested Him with this question:
'Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?'

Jesus replied:
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
And with all your mind.'

And the second is like it:
'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
All of the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.'
(Matthew 22:34-40)

If we, as Christians followed the First Commandment
We would follow all the other commandments of God.
We would follow the whole teaching of Christ Jesus.

As it is, we forget the First Commandment.
We get hung up on being “SAVED,”
Forgetting, no one is Saved, who does not follow the First Commandment.

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
And with all your mind.'

To follow the First Commandment means
That there is NOTHING else that comes close in importance in this life.
Our entire life on this earth is focused on Loving God.

The reality is that unless this is the case we are not “SAVED.”
Salvation is more than saying a sinners prayer.
The apostle Paul, who gave us a succinct sinners prayer,
Knew this was not the case if one reads the rest of his teaching,
Which follows the teaching of Christ Jesus.

The apostle Paul taught:
That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,'
And believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
You will be saved.
For it is with heart that you believe and are justified,
And it is with you mouth that you confess and are Saved.
As the Scripture says, 'Everyone who Trusts in Him
Will never be put to shame.' (Romans 10:9-11)

The KEY to this passage is: 'believe in your heart.'
If you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead
You will follow the First Commandment.
It is in the following Jesus that we are ultimately saved
Not simply in the recitation of the sinners prayer.

If we believe in our heart that God raised Christ Jesus from the dead
We will follow Him according to His Teaching.

The teaching of Christ Jesus
And the apostle Paul require death to self.
Without death to self no one can follow Christ Jesus.
Without death to self no one can receive His Holy Spirit
And allow the Spirit to live IN and THROUGH them.

Without the indwelling of the Spirit of God
No one can follow Christ Jesus.
Following Christ Jesus is not intellectual it is Spiritual;
It is allowing the Spirit of God to live IN and THROUGH you.
Only then can anyone obey the First and Greatest Commandment.
Only then can anyone OVERCOME the Evil One, Satan,
And the wicked world that he rules.

Only a FEW ever find Salvation. Only a FEW:
Enter through the NARROW GATE.
For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to DESTRUCTION,
And MANY enter through it.
But small is the GATE [Christ Jesus and His entire Teaching]
And NARROW the road that leads to LIFE, and only a FEW find it.
(Matthew 7:13-14)

Do not suppose that I have come to bring Peace to the earth.
I did not come to bring Peace but a sword.
For I have come to turn

A man against his father, a daughter against her mother,
A daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--
A man's ENEMIES will be the members of his own household.

Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me
Is not worthy of Me;
Anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me
Is not worthy of Me;

And anyone who does not take his cross and follow Me
Is not worthy of Me.

Whoever finds his life will lose it,
And whoever loses his life for MY SAKE will find it.

He who receives you receives Me,
And he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me.

Any one who receives a Prophet because he is a Prophet
Will receive a Prophet's reward,
And anyone who receive a Righteous man because he is a Righteous man
Will receive a Righteous man's reward.

And if anyone gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones
Because he is My disciple,
I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.
(Matthew 10: 34-42)

I pray that those who read this message are in obedience
To the First and Greatest Commandment.
I challenge you to read through the entire Teaching of Christ Jesus
To make sure you are in the Faith He Taught,
And not the Americanized Gospel of the many False Teachers today.

Today, the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)
America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.
Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)
As God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!
Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
