World Vision Reverses Decision

World Vision reverses decision, see their statement here March 27, 2014 Tom,As you may know by now, World Vision yesterday reversed its decision to allow for two "married" men (or women) to work for them. This came less than 48 hours after the organization's first press release saying they were fine with "married" homosexuals working for their ministry because it promoted "unity" in the church, according to CEO Richard Stearns. In yesterday's reversal announcement, World Vision president Richard Stearns states: "Today, the World Vision U.S. board publicly reversed its recent decision to change our employment conduct policy. The board acknowledged they made a mistake and chose to revert to our longstanding conduct policy requiring sexual abstinence for all single employees and faithfulness within the Biblical covenant of marriage between a man and a woman." World Vision changed its position because it received an avalanche of discontent from their supporters who sponsor children around the globe through their organization. It's still very disconcerting that one of the largest Christian charities in the world made this kind of decision in the first place. It just goes to prove what I have said before, the spiritual and cultural war on the great moral issues of our time is being waged both within and without the church. Will you do one more thing?
