When
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas visited the White House
this week, President Obama told him he needed to “take risks for
peace.” But Abbas continues his refusal to take any steps toward
peace. When asked about the possibility of recognizing Israel as a
Jewish state, Abbas replied that he was 79 years old and did not wish
to “end his life in treason.”
This is the nature of the problem Israel faces—there can be no real peace when the Palestinians do not want peace. The enemies of Israel are driven by a demonic hatred. I have met many of these enemies in person, confronting men like Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad face to face...and I have seen the forces of evil lurking in their eyes. This is a spiritual battle, and it is one that we must fight and win together.
My comments: There will be no peace in Israel or on earth until the Prince of Peace returns.
