WOLVES
ARE EVERYWHERE !! BE ALERT ! BE ON GUARD ! THERE IS AN URGENT NEED
FOR DISCERNMENT !!
One of the greatest needs in the Church is
biblical discernment !Sound doctrine is very important to sound
godly living. Doctrine provides external, objective controls for our
inward, subjective experiences so that we may discern genuine
spirituality from fraudulent , artificial or even demonic
experiences.
We need the Holy Ghost to illuminate our minds to the
revealed Truth of Holy Scriptures. We must discern truth from error,
right teaching from false teaching. Many doctrines today cannot
withstand the scrutiny of comparison with the doctrines of the
Bible. False versions of Christianity abound and testing doctrines
is frowned upon. Paul said in Gal.1:8 that there is a different
'false gospel.'
In 2nd Cor.11:4 that there is a different 'false Jesus' and a 'false Spirit' at work in the Church. Any of us can be deceived if we blindly follow any ministry or teaching without testing it according to the Word. We must according to Acts 17:11 receive the Word with all readiness of mind,and search the scriptures daily to see if what we are hearing is the Truth or error. That is our responsibility !!!
1st Tim.4 :1' Now the Spirit speaks expressly , that in latter times some shall depart the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits , and doctrines of devils.' This happens in the Church not outside of it .
2nd Peter 2:1 'Even as there shall be false teachers among you , who privily shall bring in damnable heresies , even denying the Lord that brought them , and bring themselves swift destruction.'Jesus said in Matt 7:15 'Beware of false prophets , which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves 'Friends we need to know the Word and to exercise discernment.
1. Doctrine is a necessary aspect of the Christian life, and we need to discern truth and error ! It must be sound doctrine !
2. Valid judgment is righteous judgment which judges truth from error and good from evil. The New Testament is very clear on this subject.
3. Judging teachers of false versions of Christianity! We are obligated to reject heresy and those who teach the poison of false doctrines that can damn souls. The Bible is clear on this also!
(Rom16:17,Gal.1:6-9,2nd Tim.3:16,2nd Tim.4:1-4,Titus 3:10-11)
4. Paul even identified by name according to 1st Tim.1:19-20 (Hymeneus and Alexander)and 2nd Tim.2:15-18 'Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed ,rightly dividing the Word of Truth. But shun profane babblings: for they increase unto more ungodliness . (False Teaching leads to ungodly living ) And their word will eat as does a canker: of whom is (Hymeneus and Philetus). Who concerning the Truth have erred...'Those who teach error are profane and their teachings are irreverent .Their false doctrines spread like a deadly cancer and we are exhorted to shun them! Cancer Kills and Peter calls their teaching, 'Damnable Heresies' ! They deliberately give you a deceptive mixture of the false and the true.
5. Peters warning is this-1st Peter 2:3 'And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not .'Jeremiah 6:13 'From the least to the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness, and from the prophet even unto the priest everyone deals falsely.' FALSE TEACHERS ARE GREEDY !
6. 1st Peter 2:14 says they have 'eyes full of adultery' and they 'beguile unstable souls' and that they are 'well trained in greedy practices. 'This is the character of a false teacher ! They are immoral and covetous.
False teachers want your money! They are greedy and exploit people with fancy false teachings! The ministry to them is a very lucrative profession and their great aim is to have a large following that will bring in more and more riches for them to enjoy and consume!
7. 1st Tim.3:3 says a true minister must not be 'greedy for money' and if they are they are not to be in the ministry!
Paul said in Acts 20:33 'I have coveted no mans silver ,or gold or apparel. 'In plain English 'I DO NOT WANT YOUR MONEY OR FINE CLOTHES. 'What would Paul think of today??
8. Jude 1:3 says we are to 'earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.' The word 'contend' describes the battle that the faithful believers must fight in the defense of the faith. We must exert ourselves to the utmost in the defense of God's Word.

My
comments:
Today,
the Book of Revelation is ignored
Along
with the Old Testament Prophets that reinforce the Book of
Revelation.
We
cannot 'Be on guard! Be alert!' (Mark 13:33)
And
'Watch!' (Mark 13:37) as the Lord commanded
Unless
we know the Word of God.
Apostate,
so called Christians, are going along with the Culture
To
get along with the Culture.
The
problem is that the Culture is GODLESS; CORRUPT!
