Persuasive Words Or God's Power?

What does your Faith rest on, persuasive words or God's Power?

Listen to the apostle Paul:

When I came to you brothers,

I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom

As I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.

For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you

Except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.

My message and my preaching

Were not with wise and persuasive words,

But with a DEMONSTRATION of the Spirit's POWER,

So that your Faith might not rest on men's wisdom,

But on God's POWER. (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)

What does your Faith rest on, persuasive words or God's Power?

If it rests on the wise and persuasive words of men,

It can be destroyed by the wise and persuasive words of other men.

But if it rests on God's Power it is unshakable.

This is why Pentecost and The Baptism in the Holy Spirit are critical,

Because this is God's new Covenant;

It is God Himself writing on your heart

And putting His Law in your mind:

'This is the Covenant I will make with the House of Israel

After that time,' declares the Lord.

I will put My Law in their minds and write it on their hearts.

I will be their God, and they will be My people.

No longer will a man teach is neighbor, or a man his brother,

Saying 'Know the Lord,'

Because they will all KNOW Me from the least of them to the greatest.'

(Jeremiah 31:31-34)

This is the Anointing from the Holy One [Christ Jesus]

That enables you to know the TRUTH. (1 John 2:20)

As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you,

And you do not need anyone to teach you.

But as His Anointing teaches you about ALL things

And as that Anointing is real, not counterfeit--

Just as it has taught you remain IN Him. (1 John 2:27)

When He, the Spirit of TRUTH, comes,

He will guide you into ALL TRUTH.

He will not speak on His Own;

He will speak only what He hears

He will tell you what is yet to come.

He will bring Glory to Me by taking from what is Mine

And making it know to you.

ALL that belongs to the Father is Mine.

That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is Mine

And make it know to you. (John 16:13-15)

God has designed for your Faith

To rest on the Power of His Spirit alone.

Christ Jesus said:

You are not to be called 'Rabbi,'

For you have only one Master and you are all brothers.

And do not call anyone on earth 'father,'

For you have One Father, and He is in Heaven.

Nor are you to be called 'teacher,'

For you have One Teacher, the Christ. (Matthew 23:8-10)

Our Faith is to rest upon One Person Who is the Power of God,

Christ and His Anointing; the Holy Spirit living inside of us,

Who is our Teacher.

Christ Jesus is the Power of God and the Wisdom of God

As well as the Word of God. (1 Corinthians 1:24)

Christ Jesus on The Day of Pentecost poured out His Holy Spirit

On those who believed in Him,

And He has been doing that same thing from that time on;

Giving gifts to men, which are a demonstration of His Power:

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit

Is given for the common good.

To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom,

To another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,

To another faith by the same Spirit,

To another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,

To another miraculous powers,

To another prophecy,

To another the ability to distinguish between spirits,

To another the ability to speak in different kinds of tongues,

And to still another the interpretation of tongues.

All these are the work of one and the same Spirit,

And he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

(1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

These gifts demonstrate the Power of God.

This is what the apostle Paul DEMONSTRATED to the Corinthians.

This is what their Faith was to rest on, the Power of God

Working in concert with the Word of God.

When the Power of God is demonstrated

Together with the Word of God,

Then God draws to Himself, those who are willing, unto Salvation.

A person giving his life to Christ Jesus

Is the ultimate demonstration of the Power of God.

I pray that the Faith of those who read this message

Rests on the Power of God, in concert with His Word,

And not the persuasive words of men.

Today, the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)

America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.

Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)

Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
