Jesus Did Not Come To Bring Peace

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth.

I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

For I have come to turn a man against his father

A daughter against her mother,

A daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--

A man's enemies will be the members of his own household. (Mat. 10:34-36)

I have come to bring Fire on the earth,

And how I wish it were already kindled!

But I have a baptism to undergo,

And how distressed I AM until it is completed!

Do you think I came to bring PEACE on the earth?

No, I tell you, but division.

From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other,

Three against two and two against three.

They will be divided , father against son and son against father,

Mother against daughter and daughter against mother,

Mother-in-law against daughter-in-law

And daughter-in-law against mother-in-law. (Luke 12:49-53)

Christ Jesus did not come to bring PEACE,

He came to call to Himself all those who would BELIEVE

That He was Who He claimed to be; The Son of the Living God;

The Savior of a lost and dying world; A world that is passing away;

A world that is controlled by Satan;

And there is a fight over ever single soul.

The history of the world from God's perspective,

Is the history of the BATTLE over the souls of men and women.

This is the real BATTLE that is causing all the consternation in the world.

It is the SUPERNATURAL BATTLE being waged in the heavenly realms

By the “god” of this age; the spirit of the power of the air;

By the rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world,

And against the spiritual forces of EVIL;

ALL of whom are fighting against Christ Jesus.

There will be no PEACE on earth until Christ Jesus returns

And His Kingdom is established on earth

And He puts an END to this BATTLE that has been waged for 6,000 years.

Christ Jesus said:

Anyone who loves his father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me;

Anyone who loves his son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me;

And anyone who does not take his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me.

Whoever finds his life will lose it,

And whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Whoever receives you receives Me,

And he who receives Me receives the One Who sent Me.

Anyone who received a prophet because he is a prophet

Will receive a prophet's reward,

And anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man

Will receive a righteous man's reward.

And if anyone gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones

Because he is My disciple,

I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward. (Matthew 10:37-42)

There can be no PEACE in a world controlled by Satan

Who came to steal, kill and destroy;

In a world where every person is born into SIN and is therefore EVIL;

A world that is the enemy of God the Creator.

You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world

Is HATRED toward God?

Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Or do you think Scripture says without reason

That the spirit He caused to live in us tends toward envy,

But He gives us more grace? That is why Scripture says:

'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'

Submit yourselves, then, to God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Come near to God and He will come near to you.

Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts you double minded.

Grieve, mourn and wail.

Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up. (James 4:4-10)

Those who live according to the sinful nature

[the nature we are all born with]

Have their minds set on what that nature desires;

But those who live in accordance with the Spirit

Have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

The mind of sinful man is DEATH,

But the mind controlled by the Spirit is LIFE and PEACE.

The sinful mind is HOSTILE to God.

It does not submit to God's Law, nor can it do so.

Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature

But by the Spirit, IF the Spirit of God lives in you.

And IF anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,

He does not belong to Christ.

But IF Christ is in you, your body is dead because of SIN,

Yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

And IF the Spirit of Him Who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you,

He Who raised Christ from the dead will also give LIFE

To your mortal bodies through the Spirit, Who lives in you.

Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation--

But it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.

For IF you live according to the sinful nature, you will DIE;

But IF by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body,

You will live,

Because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a SLAVE again to fear,

But you received the Spirit of sonship.

And by Him we cry 'Abba, Father.'

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

Now IF we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God

And co-heirs with Christ,

IF indeed we share in His SUFFERINGS in order

That we may also share in His Glory.

I consider that our present SUFFERINGS

Are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

The Creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

For the Creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice,

But by the will of the One Who subjected it,

In hope that the Creation itself

Will be liberated from its BONDAGE to DECAY

And brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.

We know that the whole Creation has been GROANING

As in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,

Groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons,

The REDEMPTION of our bodies.

For in this Hope we were SAVED.

But Hope that is seen is no Hope at all.

Who Hopes for what he already has?

But if we Hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.

We do not know what we ought to pray,

But the Spirit Himself intercedes for us

With groans that words cannot express.

And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit,

Because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

(Romans 8:5-27)

When will there be PEACE on earth?

At the return of Christ Jesus,

When He does away with Satan and his fallen angels; ALL that is EVIL.

Christ Jesus will SOON return and we meet Him in the air;

Then we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is [1 John 3:2-3];

Then all the DECAY present in Creation will end;

Creation will be REDEEMED along with we who have BELIEVED.

Today, the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)

America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.

Save yourself from this corrupt generation! (Acts 2:40)

As God has written, so shall it be! Hallelujah! Maranatha!

Father, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as in Heaven!
