Who Is Blessed?

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked

Or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

But his delight is in the Law of the Lord,

And on His Law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season

And whose leaf does not wither.

What ever he does prospers. (Psalm 1:1-3)

Blessed are all who take refuge in Him [Christ]. (Psalm 2:12)

Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven,

Whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him

And in whose spirit is no deceit. (Psalm 32:1-2)

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,

The people He chose for His inheritance. (Psalm 33:12)

Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust,

Who does not look to the proud,

To those who turn aside to false gods.(Psalm 40:4)

Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;

The Lord delivers him in times of trouble.

The Lord will protect him and preserve his life;

He will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes

The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed

And restore him from his bed of illness. (Psalm 41:1-3)

Blessed are those who dwell in Your House;

They are ever praising You.

Blessed are those whose strength is in You,

Who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.

As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs;

The autumn rains also cover it with pools.

They go from strength to strength

Till each appears before God in Zion. (Psalm 84:4-7)

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You,

Who walk in the Light of Your Presence, O Lord.

They rejoice in Your Name all day long; They exult in Your righteousness

For You are their Glory and strength, and by Your favor you exalt our horn.

Indeed, our shield belongs to the Lord,

Our king to the Holy One of Israel. (Psalm 89:15-18)

Blessed is the man You discipline, O Lord,

The man you teach from Your Law;

You grant him relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.

For the Lord will not reject His people;

He will never forsake His inheritance.

Judgment will again be founded on righteousness,

And all the upright in heart will follow it. (Psalm 94:12-15)

Blessed are they who maintain justice,

Who constantly do what is right. (Psalm 106:3)

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,

Who finds great delight in His commands.

His children will be mighty in the land;

Each generation of the upright will be blessed.

Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,

For the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.

Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely,

Who conducts his affairs with justice.

Surely he will never be shaken;

A righteous man will be remembered forever.

He will have no fear of bad news;

His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

His heart is secure, he will have no fear;

In the end he will look in triumph on his foes.

He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor,

His righteousness endures forever;

His horn will be lifted high in honor. (Psalm 112:1-9)

Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the Lord.

From the House of the Lord we bless you. (Psalm 118:26)

Blessed are they whose ways are blameless,

Who walk according to the Law of the Lord.

Blessed are they who keep His statutes and seek Him with all their heart.

They do nothing wrong; they walk in His ways. (Psalm 119:1-3)

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them [children].

(Psalm 127:5)

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in His ways.

You will eat the fruit of your labor;

Blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house;

Your sons will be like olive shoots around your table.

Thus is the man blessed who fears the Lord. (Psalm 128:1-4)

Blessed is the man who finds Wisdom the man who gains understanding,

For SHE is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold.

She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with HER.

Long life is in HER right hand; in HER left hand are riches and honor.

Her ways are pleasant ways, and all HER paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to those who embrace HER;

Those who lay hold of HER will be blessed. (Proverbs 3:13-18)

Blessed is the man who listens to ME [Wisdom],

Watching daily at MY doors, waiting at MY doorway.

For whoever finds ME finds LIFE and receives favor from the Lord.

But whoever fails to find ME harms himself;

ALL who hate ME love death. (Proverbs 8:34-36)

Blessed are ALL who wait for Him! (Isaiah 30:18)

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn [over the sin in the world],

For they will be comforted.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

For they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,

For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you

And falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in Heaven,

For in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

(Matthew 5:3-12)

Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of Me.

(Matthew 11:6)

Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!

Blessed is the King of Israel! (John 12:13)

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial,

Because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of LIFE

That God has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12)

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy,

And blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it,

Because the time is near. (Revelation 1:3)
