Only God Is Good

A certain ruler asked Him [Jesus]

'Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit Eternal LIFE?'

'Why do you call Me good?' Jesus answered.

'No one is good except God alone. (Luke 18:18-19)

It is critical that every Christian understand

That no one is good except God alone.

Everyone but God is inherently EVIL, born into SIN.

The only thing that changes this EVIL condition is Christ Jesus.

Faith in Christ Jesus gives a person an imputed Righteousness,

But if that person does not allow Christ Jesus to live in and through them

Their Faith is worthless;

Faith is allowing Christ Jesus to live in and through you.

If Christ, the Holy Spirit, does not live in and through a person

They have no Faith.

It is Christ Jesus living in and through us our only hope of Glory

And nothing else. (Colossians 1:27)

Why is the world a wicked, EVIL place?

Why is the world in it's present form passing away?

Because there are so few who are good;

Because apart from those Christ Jesus lives in and through

There is no goodness at all.

And the world hates those who have Christ Jesus living in an through them

Because their lives tell the world that what it does is EVIL,

And they hate to be told the Truth.

There are those who PRETEND to be good

Without Christ living in and through them

Inside and outside The Church of God.

They, like Satan, masquerade as angels of light

But the fruit of their lives speaks for itself.

Can those who support Abortion Murder belong to Christ?

Can those who defy the Word of God belong to Christ,

Who is the Word of God?

Can those who are friends of the world, the enemies of God,

Belong to Christ?

Can those who belong to false religions, including Secular Humanism,

Who deny Jesus is the Christ be good?

Can the atheists and agnostics be good?

These questions answer themselves; NO!

God alone is good, and those in whom God lives!

The Christian Apostates are truly wicked ones.

Those who pretend to belong to Christ but deny His Word;

Who have changed the Word of God to suit themselves.

They will receive the plagues described in the Word of God.

Then there are the Commercial Gospel Preachers/Teachers,

Who preach what the itching ears of their congregations want to hear

Omitting most of the Word of God;

Omitting anything that might bring conviction of SIN or mention SIN;

Anything that might bring to reality, Hell.

They are friends of the world and all men speak highly of them

As men spoke highly of ALL the previous False Prophets.

For these people, preaching and teaching is simply a commercial venture.

They make a living telling people what they want to hear,

And disguise themselves as followers of Christ.

Listen to Christ Jesus:

Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,

Will enter the Kingdom of Heaven,

But only he who does the will of My Father Who is in Heaven.

Many will say to Me on That Day, 'Lord, Lord,

Did we not prophesy in Your Name,

And in Your Name perform any miracles?'

Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you.

Away from Me, you evildoers!' (Matthew 7:21-23)

'Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine

And puts them into practice is like a wise man

Who built his house on the Rock.

The rain came down, the streams rose,

And the winds blew and beat against that house;

Yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the Rock.

But everyone who hears these words of Mine

And does not put them into practice

Is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

The rain came down , the streams rose, and the winds blew

And beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

(Matthew 7:24-27)

Everything that is not “good,” that is not of God, is destined to PERISH.

If we want goodness in our lives,

We must have Christ Jesus living in and through us.

This will only come from our passionate pursuit of God

And His Christ, Jesus, honoring His Word.

We must be able to say along with king David:

One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek:

That I may dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of my life,

To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and seek Him in His Temple.

(Psalm 27:4)

Whom have I in Heaven but You?

And being with You, I desire nothing on earth. (Psalm 73:25)

I said to the Lord, 'You are my Lord;

Apart from You I have no good thing.' (Psalm 16:2)

Today, the world is raging against God, rushing toward oblivion. (Psalm 2)

America is being ground to powder because of her SIN against God.

Save yourself from this Corrupt Generation! (Acts 2:40)
