The Christ Comes!

After four thousand years of human history

The God of Creation, the LIFE giving Spirit,

Sent His Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One;

Immanuel, God with us; God in a human body.

Full of the Holy Spirit without limit.

He was sent to die as the only acceptable sacrifice

For the sins of mankind; For your sins and my sins.

He was sent to reveal the character and nature of God to mankind;

Those who saw Christ Jesus saw God,

Because the Father and the Son are One.

The Lord of all Glory came as a baby,

Born of a young virgin, Mary, impregnated by the Holy Spirit.

He was laid in an animal feeding trough.

Such was the humility of God Almighty.

He willingly subjected Himself to His parents

And lived in obedience to them as a young person.

At age thirty he was baptized in water by John the Baptist;

Was then led into the desert by the Holy Spirit;

Fasted for forty days, and was subjected to temptation by Satan.

He passed the test and began His ministry;

Preaching the good news to the poor;

Proclaiming freedom for the prisoners

And recovery of sight for the spiritually blind;

To release the oppressed

And to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. (Isaiah 61:1,2)

As was foretold by the Prophet Isaiah hundreds of years before.

Today, this is the ministry of The Bride Of Christ.

For three and one-half years Christ Jesus ministered

In the power of the Spirit;

Healing the sick, raising the dead and preaching the good news

Of the Kingdom of God.

Then out of jealousy, the religious leaders of His day took Him captive,

And sent Him to Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor, to be crucified.

He was mocked, scourged and crucified; nailed to a cross.

The One who created all that exists

Subjected Himself to this ultimate humiliation and degradation,

So that you and I could receive forgiveness of our sins,

If we turn to Him, Christ Jesus, in true repentance.

Throughout the ages many have done so.

However, most do not, and choose hell instead.

The reality is, that it is either Heaven or hell for every living person.

I pray that you will choose Christ and His Heaven.
