The Nations Grope In Darkness

The Lord says to the nations,

The earth is Mine along with all your peoples.

I am the only Savior, your only hope.

There is no other Savior.

And who is it that can be saved?

Those with clean hands and pure hearts,

Who do not lift up their souls to idols.

But you nations have filled your cities with idols.

You swear by your own intellect,

By what is right in your own eyes.

Therefore you have rendered yourselves blind

And you are groping in the darkness of your own way.

You have rejected the only Light, My Christ, Jesus.

What hope is there for you?

There is none unless you turn to Me says the Lord Almighty.

Nevertheless, there are those among you

Who look to Me says the Lord,

A generation who seeks My face.

Those I will vindicate, says the Lord.

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it,

The world, and all who live in it;

For He founded it upon the seas

And established it upon the waters.

Who may ascend the hill of the Lord?

Who may stand in His holy place?

He who has clean hands and a pure heart,

Who does not lift up his soul to an idol

Or swear by what is false.

He will receive blessing from the Lord

And vindication from God His Savior.

Such is the generation of those who seek him,

Who seek your face O God of Jacob. (Psalm 24:1-6 NIV)
