Isaiah 17:12-14
Oh, the raging of
many nations--
They rage like the
raging sea!
Oh, the uproar of
the peoples--
They roar like the
roaring of great waters!
Although the peoples
roar like the roar of surging waters,
When
he (God)
rebukes them they flee far away,
Driven before the
wind like chaff on the hills,
Like tumbleweed
before a gale.
In evening, sudden
terror!
Before morning, they
are gone!
This
is the portion of those who loot us (the
Israel of God),
The lot of those who
plunder us.
[Today, the nations are raging against Israel
And against God and His Christ Jesus.
There is an uproar of the peoples.
Soon God will rebuke them and they will flee far away
Like tumbleweed before a gale.
Sudden terror will come upon them, and they will be gone, forever.]
