By Trying To Keep Trump Off The Ballot, Democrats Are Staging A Coup In Broad Daylight

If it wasn’t obvious before now that the left will do anything to stop Donald Trump from winning a second term in the White House, the events of the last few days should leave no doubt in any American’s mind. Democrats, including President Biden, are prepared not only to rig the 2024 election in broad daylight but also to twist the U.S. Constitution and undermine the republic so they can hold on to power.

As most everyone knows by now, an infamous 4-3 majority of the Colorado Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that voters in their state will not be allowed to cast a ballot for Trump in next year’s presidential election. The court’s outlandish claim is that Trump is ineligible to appear on the ballot because Section 3 of the 14th Amendment says candidates who have “engaged in insurrection” are prohibited from holding public office.

According to the court, which is dominated by left-wing ideologues appointed by Democrat governors (all the judges on the Colorado Supreme Court are Democrats, some are just more radical than others), Trump meets this definition because he “incited” a riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Never mind that Trump has yet to be convicted of a crime associated with Jan. 6 (or any crime for that matter) or that the 14th Amendment doesn’t include the president or vice president in a list of offices to which its Section 3 provision applies. For the leftists on the Colorado Supreme Court, it’s enough to declare Trump an insurrectionist and viola! He’s off the ballot — all in the name of “defending democracy.”

David French called it a “bold, courageous decision,” but setting aside the constitutional/legal debate, consider what it means practically.

About 1.4 million Coloradans voted for Trump in 2020. All those voters, if they want to vote for Trump again this time, have been disenfranchised by the court. That’s bad enough, but the left’s strategy here is larger than just one state. Before the ink was dry on the Colorado ruling, California Democrats leapt into action. The lieutenant governor, Eleni Kounalakis, sent a letter to Secretary of State Shirley Weber asking her to “explore every legal option to remove former President Donald Trump from California’s 2024 presidential primary ballot.”

Meanwhile, Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is prosecuting Trump for his alleged role in the Jan. 6 riot, this week asked the U.S. Supreme Court to step in and rule on the case before the lower court issues a ruling. As Byron York noted, Smith’s frantic brief doesn’t state the obvious: “He’s rushing to try Trump so Trump can be convicted and jailed before the election.”

Plenty of smart people have pointed out the glaring problems with the Colorado Supreme Court’s interpretation of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. Namely, it stipulates Congress must establish a procedure for barring someone from office for engaging in insurrection, which Congress did, twice, first in 1870 and again in 1948. In the latter instance, Congress created a criminal insurrection law, 18 U.S.C. § 2383, which is the enforcement mechanism for Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The key point here is that Trump has not been charged or convicted under that statute, which means the U.S. Supreme Court will almost certainly overturn the Colorado Supreme Court’s garbage ruling.

But set aside the legal fight because it doesn’t matter to the left. For Biden and the Democrats, this isn’t really a question of what the Constitution does or doesn’t say. This is a question of power and how far they will go to keep it. From the politicized court ruling in Colorado to the four criminal indictments against Trump amounting to 91 felony charges to Biden’s statement last November that he’ll use the Constitution to ensure that Trump “will not take power” and will not “become the next president,” what we have amounts to an open conspiracy to rig the 2024 election by preventing voters from casting a ballot for the likely GOP nominee.

It’s not too much to call this a coup or a color revolution. If Democrats get away with this, we won’t be able to say we have a republic anymore for the simple reason that we won’t have anything like free and fair elections. Democracy in America will be reduced to something like Democracy in Iran or Russia, where only regime-approved candidates are allowed to appear on the ballot.

And don’t think this will end if the U.S. Supreme Court strikes down the Colorado decision. The Democrats will see it as a mere setback, not a defeat — and certainly not a deterrent. When they say, as they have been quite often lately, that Trump will never leave office if he wins next November, or that 2024 will be our last election ever if Trump prevails, they’re really talking about themselves. What they say Trump will do if he becomes president again is what they’re doing right now, before a watching world.

2023: The Year Corporate Wokeness Crashed

 JAMES LASHER - CHARISMA NEWS

In 2023, the business world witnessed a stark contrast between companies that embraced leftist ideologies and those that pushed back with traditional values.

While corporate giants like Disney and Target suffered major financial losses due to their controversial marketing strategies, a counter-movement of Christian entrepreneurs emerged, determined to bring light to the darkness that has enveloped some corners of American businesses.

In a year that saw Budweiser losing billions due to their teaming up with TikToker Dylan Mulvaney, a man who parades around as a woman, Target decided to join them in the waters of a national boycott, which also saw the company lose billions of dollars.

Target drew significant criticism for partnering with a member of the LGBTQ community who openly promoted Satan and all the associated ideologies.

The retailer's "tuck-friendly" swimwear line aimed at children further fueled the backlash.

Despite the financial consequences of its actions, the company has continued to promote its "Christmas Pride" collection, seemingly disregarding the values of their customers.

Disney, too, faced a significant decline in 2023, with its movies consistently underperforming at the box office.

The House of Mouse's decision to infuse radical feminism, anti-male rhetoric and LGBTQ ideology into its films has alienated the brand's once-loyal family audience.

And that has become evident in the flops at the box office that they spent billions on creating such as LightyearStrange WorldIndiana Jones and the Dial of DestinyHaunted MansionThe Marvels and the newest flop to join the list: Wish.

In another shocking example of corporate promotion of the occult, Kentucky Fried Chicken boldly displayed posters of the demon Lilith to promote the release of the game Diablo IV, which features demonic imagery, blood sacrifices and other disturbing content.

The widespread acceptance of this marketing campaign by the public has led to concerns about the spiritual consequences of such media consumption.

But there is good news to combat these spirits that have infiltrated the business world, and that is the victory of Jesus Christ.

People are recognizing what these companies are doing.

It has become so obvious and the evil is so tangible that even non-Christians have called them out, even if they do not fully understand the spiritual implications behind these events.

Despite the darkness that has pervaded the business world, there is hope.

Companies like Public Square, led by CEO Michael Seifert, are taking a stand against anti-family values by offering bonuses to employees who have children or choose to adopt. This initiative aims to create stronger families and promote the importance of traditional values in the workplace.

The year 2023 has demonstrated the need for Christians to be more active in all aspects of society, including the digital, business, political and sports worlds.

By engaging in these spheres, Christians can bring the light of Jesus to a world that is increasingly shrouded in darkness.

As we look forward to 2024, the question remains: Will Christians choose to support companies that align with their values, or will they continue to contribute to the success of businesses that openly oppose God's teachings?

The choice is in the hands of each individual, and the consequences of their actions will shape the future of the corporate world and the values it promotes.

Judge Blocks Red-state Law that Prohibited Sexually Explicit Books from the Classroom

 Harold Hutchison

Daily Caller News Foundation

Will allow gender identity, sexual orientation discussions in elementary schools

A federal judge on Friday temporarily blocked an Iowa law prohibiting schools from discussing gender identity and sexual orientation in elementary schools, according to multiple reports.

United States District Judge Stephen Locher of the Southern District of Iowa, who was appointed by President Joe Biden, also blocked provisions of the law that prohibited the use of sexually explicit books, the Des Moines Register reported. Locher allowed provisions requiring schools to inform parents about students who requested the use of different pronouns, according to The Associated Press.

Schools had removed books from libraries following the legislation’s passage, which prompted lawsuits from an LGBT advocacy group, the Iowa State Education Association and Penguin Random House, according to the Register.

Parents across the country raised objections to books with sexually explicit content in recent years, prompting some states to act to remove them from schools. Schools pulled multiple books on the grounds of having explicit content, including “Gender Queer,” “Let’s Talk About It” and “It’s Perfectly Normal,” after Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida signed similar legislation in Florida.

“Instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation has no place in K-6 classrooms,” Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Books containing sexually explicit content do not belong in a school library.”

Should schools allow sexually explicit books for elementary students?

Biden Spends Taxpayer Dollars on Ballroom Dance Programs to 'Uplift Transgender' Youth in Peru

 Robert Schmad

Daily Caller News Foundation

Efforts 'began in the Black and Latinx LGBTQIA community'

The State Department is sponsoring a program to “uplift transgender and gender diverse” young people in Peru through a version of ballroom dancing “that began in the Black and Latinx LGBTQIA community.”

“Ballroom Saves Lives: Resiliency and Wellness in Peru,” the program supported by the State Department, seeks to use ballroom to connect young LGBTQIA+ leaders with medical resources and to build trust between them and healthcare providers. The program received support as part of the Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund (CDAF), which the State Department uses to boost projects that strengthen democracy, fight disinformation, protect the environment or aid refugees.

Ballroom, as a subculture, originated in New York City in the 1970s and often involves drag queens, according to Vogue. Popular ballroom tracks include “Work This Pussy (Hurt Me Mix),” “Cunty (The Feeling)” and “Svere Pussy Pop Ha,” among others, according to New York Magazine.

The program will consist of three ballroom events and a series of workshops.

The State Department launched CDAF in 2019 and, since then, has given out $1.85 million in grants, according to its website. The grants max out at $10,000 and intend to support projects designed by alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs.

Are ballroom dance programs for transgender youth in Peru a wise use of our taxpayer dollars?

Programs funded by CDAF in 2022 included one about teaching “the role jazz plays in the quest for freedom, democracy, and civil rights,” workshops about “hip-hop, graffiti, and dance (breaking, popping, and locking),” and “Empowering Women Leaders in Rural Morocco.”

Ballroom dancing for LGBTQIA+ youth in Peru isn’t the first LGBT program the State Department has supported.

The State Department funded an LGBTQ+ film festival in Portugal that showed movies depicting incest and a minor having sex with an adult. The department stood by its decision to support the festival, citing its support for “protecting and promoting the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons,” the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The State Department did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Senior Harvard Law Prof Identifies Those Groups SUPPORTING Hamas Terrorists

'Radicals, revolutionaries, anti-Semites and useful idiots'

Hamas launched a war with Israel on October 7 when its terrorists invaded from Gaza and butchered an estimated 1,200 to 1,400 civilians.

Israel is responding with a military campaign that is described as intending to wipe out that threat of further terrorism.

But there are groups that have thrown their lot in with the terrorists, and Alan Dershowitz has written a column identifying them.

Dershowitz is the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law, Emeritus at Harvard Law School, and the Jack Roth Charitable Foundation Fellow at Gatestone Institute.

At that organization's website, he explained those "who have supported the Hamas barbarism against Israel are:"

First, "radical Islamic groups that, like the Islamic Republic of Iran after the 1979 revolution, regard Israel as the 'Little Satan' and America as the 'Big Satan.'"

Also, "American revolutionary groups who used to be affiliated with Communism but now call themselves radical socialists or workers parties. Their goal is to overthrow our government and they attach themselves to every disruptive movement in the hope of garnering support and creating distrust for American democracy."

Are Harvard students falling into the "useful idiots" group?

Then there's those "old-fashioned anti-Semites who hate anything associated with Jews and concoct conspiracy theories that blame 'the Jews' for all evils."

Finally, there are the "useful idiots who have little or no knowledge of the issues but march in lockstep with all 'woke,' 'hard left,' and 'anti-colonial' causes."

He counseled, "Recall that these protests began before Israel counterattacked against Hamas. They were in full bloom on October 8, even while the bodies of 1,200 murdered Israelis, including babies burned alive, were still being gathered and counted, and the roughly 240 hostages taken by Hamas to Gaza identified. These demonstrations were not against Israeli military actions in Gaza; they had not begun yet."

He charged that the original response to the "Hamas barbarism" set a standard for the agenda, including those demands for a ceasefire.

He warned those are "orchestrated by some of the same radical groups that organized the pro-Hamas demonstrations before Israel went into Gaza. Demonstrations and protests by groups such as the Students for Justice in Palestine, Jewish Voice for Peace or the National Lawyers Guild seem anything but spontaneous and grassroots responses to 'Israel's military actions in Gaza.'"

He said the basic fact is that during Israel's "legitimate military efforts to destroy Hamas terrorists and weapons" hidden among civilians, some of those civilians have died and that allows the recruitment of more anti-Israel "useful idiots."

He explained that those Israel opponents actually are relatively small, but those "useful idiots" make the protests larger and more organized.

He said the protests actually are "exclusively anti-Israel, anti-American, pro-Hamas, and pro-terrorism."

And the problem could grow, he warned.

"What if the useful idiots who now march for Hamas in favor of Israel's destruction become a fifth column in America and willingly join Hamas terrorists in targeting Jewish and other institutions in our nation?"

A Remembrance Of Death

A Remembrance Of Death

“What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the power of the grave?”

— Psalm 89:48

Tonight we say goodbye to the old year and usher in the new. It’s a special time of reflection and tradition, and perhaps tonight you’ll engage in your own celebration as this year passes into the next. Perhaps you’ll look back on favorite memories of the past year and anticipate some new adventures in the year to come.

But many will spend their New Year’s Eve getting drunk. Have you ever wondered why so many people feel the need to do that? Think about it. Is it just a tradition? Or is it something more?

Perhaps the Romans of old knew. They had a phrase for it: momento mori, a “remembrance of death.” The old year is frequently pictured in art as a doddering old man staggering his way into oblivion.

If you think about it, the picture is quite fitting.

The Bible tells us that Satan has held the whole world in bondage through the fear of death. With that truth in mind, I can realize why the unregenerate, who have never been delivered from that fear, who do not have the blessed assurance of eternal life, feel the need to get drunk.

If another year’s passing brings them that much closer to death, it’s no wonder they want to obliterate that reality with alcohol. It is really ironic, for the whole world prides itself on its realism and chides Christians for believing in “fairy tales.”

Some realists! These people can’t face the greatest reality that every human being must inevitably face: the fact of death.

But that doesn’t stop some people from trying. If we go back to 300 B.C., we find the hedonist philosopher, Epicurus, who said that death doesn’t concern us, for as long as we exist, death is not here, and when death comes, we no longer exist. But that isn’t so. We cannot remove death through philosophy, science, or medicine.

It is only in Christ that our mortality ceases to be frightening. For only in Him do we know what awaits us after death or, more accurately, Who awaits us after death.

Christians can echo the apostle Paul: “To live is Christ; to die is gain.”

Tonight, as you say goodbye to an old year and usher in a new one, rejoice that you’re one year closer to meeting our Father in Heaven. Death’s door holds no fear for you; you’re on your way to eternal life united with Christ. Now that’s something to celebrate.

“Not what we call death, but what [is] beyond death is … [what] … we fear.”
T. S. Eliot

Welcome to 2024 – Now Brace Yourself

Exclusive: Patrice Lewis urges readers to repudiate their Normalcy Bias and prepare for the future

Here in the waning days of 2023, we're seeing a series of dire predictions for 2024. Cheery news to greet the New Year, isn't it?

One such prediction came from economist Harry Dent of the HS Dent Investment Management firm. In an interview with Fox New, he said: "Since 2009, this has been 100% artificial, unprecedented money printing and deficits; $27 trillion over 15 years, to be exact. This is off the charts, 100% artificial, which means we're in a dangerous state. I think 2024 is going to be the biggest single crash year we'll see in our lifetimes."

Dent remains firm that an "everything bubble" will burst in this upcoming year. He further predicts the results will not be an economic recession, but a full-blown depression.

Dent isn't the only one. "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" author Robert Kiyosaki offers similar warnings on how the Biden administration is sinking the U.S. into unrecoverable debt. "All you do is look at history. Every time they printed money, the empire went down."

Historian Victor Davis Hanson is calling 2024 "The Year of our Reckoning." "In some sense, the country for recent years has been cruising on the fumes from prior and likely better, wiser generations and institutions," he writes. "In 2024, the tab for our current apathy, toxic politics, and incompetence will come due."

Then there's CBS News investigative reporter Catherine Herridge, who made a dark prediction that 2024 will produce a "Black Swan Event" that will shock the world. Her concerns focus on international affairs and how they will impact America.

And, of course, I hardly need to remind you that 2024 is an election year, with all the political and societal chaos that implies.

Most people are feeling some sort of unease about the future. Many have a nagging feeling in the gut that something wicked this way comes. If the prospect of a third world war doesn't bother you, then rising costs, stagnant wages and urban decay do.

But not everyone agrees. Looking at some of the comments on these articles confirm how many people believe everything is just ducky, thanks. There will always be those people who suffer from the delusion that nothing could ever disrupt the comfortable and dependable world in which we live. As my husband is fond of pointing out, the greatest conceit of mankind is, "It can't happen to me."

This is a typical Normalcy Bias, which Wikipedia defines as a mental state that "causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects." It's sometimes called the "It can't happen here" syndrome. The assumption is that since a particular disaster has never occurred before, it never will. Any disturbing indications that something bad may happen are dismissed or trivialized.

From sociopolitical commentary to romance writing! Patrice Lewis branches into the world of Amish inspirational fiction. These clean romances are wholesome enough for Grandma to read. Check out Patrice's available titles.

When we hear the mainstream media assuring us in soothing, condescending tones that we're in an economic "recovery" – despite all evidence to the contrary – we want desperately to believe them. We don't want anything to disrupt our ordinary, comfortable lives. We genuinely believe that if we cling to our normal way of life and habitual methods of doing things – despite overwhelming proof that something dangerous is looming – then everything will be OK. It can't happen here.

But as Ayn Rand so memorably put it, "You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring reality."

The fact is, very little happens that doesn't give some sort of advanced warning. All it takes is vigilance and a determination not to depend wholly on the mainstream media, which tend to filter world and national events to support their agenda.

Some say we're already in a Silent Depression. Consider this short video comparing the costs of homes, rent and income between 1930 and 2023.

In 1930, during the Great Depression, the average home in America was $3,900. The average car was $600. The average monthly rent was $18, or $216 a year, and the average salary was $1,300 a year. Fast forward to today. It is $436,000 for the average home, $48,000 for the average car, and the average rent is $2,000 a month or $24,000 a year, and we have a $56,000 income for the average American right now.

"So if you look back to the Great Depression," says the narrator, "the house was only three times the average salary. Now it is eight times the average salary. The car was 46% of the salary. The car today is 85% of the salary. And here's the craziest part. The rent was 16% of the average salary. It is now 42% of the average salary."

So yeah, in light of these numbers, 2024 could be a very interesting year indeed.

So what can be done about all these dire things? Well the first thing to do is strip away your Normalcy Bias and acknowledge that the smoke on the horizon means a fire is coming. Awareness, as they say, is half the battle.

But most people won't. They'll have endless excuses why it's not necessary, at least not yet. They'll remain in denial. They won't do anything. Then they'll be shocked – shocked! – when something happens that affects them personally.

As I see it, it never hurts to lend half an ear to such predictions and take sensible precautions. The Great Depression started with a dramatic bang – the stock market crash – but not every incident of economic turmoil begins like that. Many traumatic events begin with a whisper, which seems to be the case here. Whispers don't make it any less painful for those affected, but it does make it more deniable by those with a political ax to grind.

In short, 2024 is shaping up to be a very interesting year. I don't know if it will be a year of sunshine and roses, or of darkest despair. All I know is a lot of high-ranking national and international people are acting increasingly desperate to control the masses. Where that ends is anyone's guess.

But there is a silver lining: Forewarned is forearmed. Even hard times can be weathered if you're ready for them. Brace yourself.
