Christ Jesus prayed that all those who would believe in Him would be ONE, just as He and the Father are ONE; that they be brought to complete unity so that the world would know that He was sent by the Father. (John 17:20-23)
A California school district says it is investigating a video that purportedly shows a teacher telling students to pledge allegiance to a gay pride flag.
The teacher, whose identity cannot be confirmed, boasted about removing the American flag from her classroom during the China virus pandemic.
"I took it down during COVID because it made me uncomfortable. I packed it away and don't know where, and I can't find it yet," the teacher said in a now-viral TikTok video.
"I always tell my class stand if you feel like it, don't stand if you don't feel like it," she said. "My class decided to stand and not say the words."
"I tell this kid we do have a flag in the class that you can pledge allegiance to," the giggling teacher said, pointing at the gay pride flag.
In a separate TikTok post, the unidentified teacher was decked out in rainbow color while she recited, "I pledge allegiance to the queers."
Among those outraged by the teacher's behavior was former Trump administration official Richard Grenell.
"What kind of parent would allow their child to be taught by this wacko," the openly gay pundit said. "Why are parents turning their kids over to someone they don't know. I'd like to talk to people who think this is good."
School district spokesperson Annette Franco told "The Todd Starnes Radio Show" that the district is aware of the incident.
"I assure you that we take matters like this seriously and are taking action to address it," Franco said. "Showing respect for our nation's flag is a value that we instill in our students and an expectation of our employees."
People often ask me why our nation's culture and values are rapidly changing. This is the reason why – the left has taken over our public education system, and they are churning out generations of anti-American socialists.
You need to get your kids and grandkids out of public schools. Homeschool or private school – that's the only way to save our nation.
Modern-day Christians, like the rest of the world, have experienced division in many areas.
But throughout the ages, the church has united in its belief in the Second Coming of Jesus and His rule and reign over eternity.
That day, entrepreneur and author Douglas Cobb says, may come sooner than we think, based on the near-completion of Jesus' Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20). Cobb's book,
"Early in that chapter, Matthew 24, the disciples asked Jesus,
'When are you coming back?' That's my paraphrase, but that's what they asked.
"And He names a number of things that have to happen, that will happen before He returns," Cobb adds.
"But in verse 14, he says,
'This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.'"
Not only does this verse tie directly to Cobb's recent book, but it also connects to his work as managing partner of the Finishing Fund, a partnership of kingdom investors who are giving together to accelerate the completion of the Great Commission.
Cobb says few people know much about the Great Commission. "Barna says maybe 50% don't even really know what it is, and of the others, many of them can't really pin it down very well," he explains, adding that the experts say there are about 12,000 biblical "nations," or ethnos—"biblical people groups around the world.
And now we are down to only a few hundred left that nobody has ever been to with the gospel.
So we have maybe 300 left to go before we cross the line, and the name of Jesus will be proclaimed in literally every people group on the face of the earth."
The nation watched in horror over this last week as the abrupt and hectic pullout from Afghanistan resulted in 13 United States service members being killed, as well as dozens of Afghan nationals.
Currently, there are hundreds of Americans who didn't "make the plane" and will be stranded (at least for the time being) inside of the Taliban-controlled nation.
This all looks very bad for President Joe Biden and one would think that Biden himself would see this as a colossal failure.
One would think that of course, unless Biden doesn't believe he is in charge.
The truth is, if we take him at his word, he's not.
On August 29th, Biden gave an address at FEMA headquarters regarding Hurricane Ida. At the end of his address, he told everyone,
"I'm not supposed to take any questions, but go ahead."
"I'm not supposed to"?
Mr. President, what exactly do you mean by, "I'm not supposed to"?
You are the President of the United States.
If you don't want to take a question, you simply say, "No questions."
But don't stand in front of reporters as the leader of the free world and tell us that someone else told you what you were "supposed to" do.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated event.
On August 26th, the president addressed the nation in light of the soldiers who lost their lives protecting the Kabul airport in Afghanistan.
You see, what starts with censorship from platforms like Facebook and Twitter and seemingly minor inconveniences...it ends with you on a terror watch list or in prison.
I’m speaking from experience.
A powerful conglomerate of Big Tech companies including Microsoft, Google, Twitter and Facebook are working with current and former government officials in what they call the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT).
The GIFCT has classified me as a “violent extremist.”
I’ve never called for violence, I’ve never threatened violence and I’ve never participated in violence.
All I do is tell the truth about Islam and Jihad. It’s what I’ve done for years now.
I’ve committed no crimes, but that doesn’t matter.
I’m still on a list, fighting for my God-given rights.
And I’m writing to you today because the radical Left wants to do to you what they’ve done to me.
The Freedom Center fought for me and won -- so I know they can win for you too.
But without your continued support, their hands are tied.
They fought for me when the Southern Poverty Law Center came after me…
They fought for me when MasterCard and Discover Card came after me…
...and they’re fighting for me now that the GIFCT is after me.
But this is bigger than me, or my life’s work.
The rules are changing, and we have a closing window of time to decide what kind of country we will be.
Will we roll over and play dead while the Left stampedes towards a one party communist state, and political dissidence is a prison sentence? Or will we fight with everything we have for the America we knew and loved?
I know where I stand, and I know where the Freedom Center stands.
