MOVIE: "I CAN ONLY IMAGINE" IS HAVING IMPACT

Hello Friend, I want to share with you a few of the stories that producer Jon Erwin told me about the impact that his film I Can Only Imagine is having: A woman went to see the movie with her daughter, and after it was over, they noticed that a woman behind them seemed very moved by it and was weeping. A complete stranger to them, this woman asked them, “Do you know Jesus?” and they replied, “Yes, actually, we do. Do you?” The woman said, “No, but I need the change that happened to Bart’s father in my life, and I need someone to explain it to me.” They led her to Christ right there in the theater. In Sioux Falls, South Dakota, there was a man that saw the movie who had not seen his father since he was fourteen. After seeing the film, he resolved that he wouldn’t leave the theater until he found his dad on Facebook and reached out to him. They scheduled a meeting for the next day. He met with his father, forgave him, shared Christ with him, and reestablished their relationship. At the end of the movie, a man stood up and held his hands up during the finale of the film, weeping. When asked why it moved him so, the man said, “That was my dad. He was an alcoholic. I’ve chosen to forgive him and I’m giving him my kidney next week so he can live.” It really is an inspiring and gospel-centered film, and I highly recommend it to you.
