The Democrats want the Republicans

To agree to Legal Status for the DACA people,

But do not want to end Chain Migration,

Or the Immigration Lottery.

And they do not want to Secure the Southern Border with a Wall.

The Republicans have agreed to give the DACA people legal status,

But insist upon the End to Chain Migration and the Immigration Lottery.

And they insist upon building the Wall and securing the Southern Border.

Otherwise Illegal Immigration will continue.

The Terrorist that ran over people in New York, killing 8 people,

Came by way of the Immigration Lottery.

From him came more than 20 more Immigrants

By way of Chain Migration.

This must be Stopped.

Chain migration became the driving force behind immigration to the United States in 1965, with the passage of the current version of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

The 1965 legislation changed the objective of U.S. immigration policy. Rather than admitting immigrants who were likely to assimilate to our culture and succeed in the United States, American immigration policy shifted its focus to an extremely broad concept of “family reunification.”

This placed the integrity of immigrant families above the economic, national security, and public safety interests of the American public. As a result, the pool of immigrants eligible to come to the United States became largely self-selecting.

In addition, the 1965 legislation eliminated the firm annual cap on the number of green cards, which had kept immigrant numbers manageable in the years following World War II. As a result, the immigrant share of the U.S. population has nearly tripled (4.7 percent to 13.5 percent) since 1970.3.
