As Soon As School Sees Test Questions Teacher Gave Middle Schoolers, They Place Her On Leave
When an Alabama middle school student read the first question on his math quiz, he was outraged.
And although this boy was not a liberal, his feelings were hurt. He did not know what to do, so he texted a photo of the disgusting quiz to his mother. And after she read what the teacher wrote, she dialed 911. But before the dispatcher could answer her call, she thought better of that and hung up. Then she dialed the school. Because she exposed the middle school teacher’s disturbing ‘sense of humor’, the math teacher has been placed on administrative leave for an undetermined amount of time…
According to Fox 10, this mother’s son was not the only student at Burns Middle School who was offended by the math quiz. And they weren’t just upset because it was challenging. The students were forced to solve problems about guns, drugs and prostitution – or risk failing and being held back the next year.
Erica Hall was the mother who first exposed the teacher. She could not believe that the middle school teacher was writing math questions involving criminal activities because many of the students were black. Hall quickly took action to shut this disturbed teacher down.
Here are examples of the questions that were on the eighth-grade math quiz.
“Tyrone knocked up four girls in the gang. There are 20 girls in his gang. What is the exact percentage of girls he knocked up?” reads one question.
“Dwayne pimps three hos,” reads another question. “If the price is $85 per trick, how many tricks per day must each ho turn to support Dwayne’s $800 per day crack habit?”

The students initially laughed when they saw the math quiz. They thought it was just a joke and wanted to pretend to be cool and get it. But the teacher claimed it was not a joke and then forced them to solve the problems. The teacher wanted the underprivileged kids to get “real life” math skills but did it in an insulting way.
Because the teacher was nearing retirement, they were placed on administrative leave. And depending on how the investigation goes, they could lose their pension and other perks.
The teacher was identified as Joanna Bolser.
