This Is Surprising .. Putin Responded To North Korea’s Nuclear Threats
While the United States and the Republic of South Korea took part in their annual training exercises, which include war-gaming a possible situation in which North Korea becomes an out of control nuclear superpower, North Korea itself issued a warning that it would not hesitate to launch nuclear strikes as a ‘preventative’ measure.
According to North Korea News, the nation, with Kim Jong Un at the helm, was announcing that they would strike South Korea and the United States’ mainland if they caught even a whiff of any plans to turn the training exercises into a real attempt to remove the North Korean leader.
“WE DECLARE WITHOUT HESITATION THAT OUR HALF-CENTURY LONG PREPARED ‘UNIFICATION HOLY WAR’ WILL OCCUR IN A SPEEDY WAY THAT NONE OF THE WORLD HAS EVER HEARD OR SEEN.”
In response to North Korea’s announcement that they are prepared to launch a nuclear war, Russia has become involved to firmly condemn the actions of both sides of the controversy.
To the North Koreans, Russia warned that ‘preemptive’ nuclear strikes would have severe legal ramifications, could lead to a military response, and that such an action would be a direct contradiction to the charter of the United Nations.
“PYONGYANG SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE FACT THAT IN THIS WAY THE DPRK [NORTH KOREA] WILL BECOME FULLY OPPOSED TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND WILL CREATE INTERNATIONAL LEGAL GROUNDS FOR USING MILITARY FORCE AGAINST ITSELF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RIGHT OF A STATE TO SELF-DEFENSE ENSHRINED IN THE UNITED NATIONS CHARTER.”
To South Korea and the United States, Russia stated that it was foolish to increase the size and scale of their war-gaming, due to the fact that North Korea cannot help but feel threatened. Especially when the training is geared specifically towards stopping the northern nation.
“NATURALLY, AS A STATE, WHICH IS DIRECTLY NAMED AS AN OBJECT OF THIS KIND OF MILITARY ACTIVITIES, THE DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF KOREA (DPRK) CANNOT BUT FEEL REASONABLY CONCERNED FOR ITS SECURITY.”
The training exercise is expected to last for two months.
