98-Year-Old Billy Graham Has Given One Final Warning to America
In recent days, civil unrest and hatred have spread across the country. After the recent attack on demonstrators in Charlottesville, racial tensions and violence have been at an all-time high.
The nation is in desperate need to turn towards God and heal the great divide that is occurring throughout the country. During a time like this, we are reminded of the final warning Billy Graham gave to America last May.
According to Newsmax, Rev. Billy Graham, the most inspiring evangelist of the past century, warned that America’s problems have been triggered by our self-centered obsessions, pride, and lack of shame over sin.
A lot of the same characteristics that Graham warned against can be seen in the recent events unfolding. People have unashamedly drawn sides and used sin, violence, and words to attack people who disagree with them.
However, there still is hope. Even for people who live in a wonderful community far from the epicenter of the civil unrest, there is hope in the form of prayer. Ultimately, that’s what our nation needs: prayer.
“My heart aches for America and its deceived people,” Graham wrote in another open prayer letter to America in 2012.
“When the Prophet Jonah finally traveled to Nineveh and proclaimed God’s warning, people heard and repented. I believe the same thing can happen once again, this time in our nation,” Graham concluded.
As Christians, we have an opportunity to use prayer to turn our nation back to God and to stand for our Christian beliefs in a world that is lost. Please join us in praying for our nation during this difficult time and for peace. Please share this article on Facebook and help spread God's word.
