Without A Doubt
Antje Hill
The morning light was breaking as I sat quietly, thinking about the happenings of the months since the New Year began.
I wished for solutions to some of life’s problems. Family members we love so dearly were going through difficult times that seemed unending.
I journaled my thoughts and questions to God, wondering why answers had not come.
I yearned to hear a word from God.
Very quietly words to an old song I had not thought of in years began to play in my mind:
“God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me.” Then God, being who He is, brought to mind beautiful happenings in the bible that reinforced these words in my mind.
Who but God can make a pathway through a sea to deliver His people to safety?
It’s not every day you hear of a one hundred-year-old man, Abraham, and a ninety-year-old woman, Sarah, conceiving a promised child years after the promise.
A young boy killing a dreaded giant with a stone is no fairy tale.
A healing by touching the hem of a garment can only be termed a miracle.
We call these bible stories. But God tells us, “For I am the Lord, I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6 NKJV) Hebrews 13:8 echoes with “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” (NKJV)
We humans are so reluctant to accept God’s timing and His workings in our lives when history shows God knows what He’s doing.
Without a doubt, we can trust the One who died for us.
