A Well Planned Battlefield Gone Awry
Strategy, by definition, means a careful plan or method for achieving a particular goal, usually over a long period of time.
What better place for our enemy to go strategic than our mind.
And what a well-planned strategy he lays out.
I know now that our mind is his greatest battlefield.
How I wish I had known that as a teenager, when my thinking was “I am so skinny”, “I never do anything right” or “I am so undeserving of God.”
As a young mother, “I never have any ‘me’ time.” and “I am so unappreciated by my family!” were often companion thoughts.
Our enemy is more powerful than we think, but only because WE give him power.
We are not wise to his ways, as he uses negative thinking to manipulate us and turn our mind away from God and His power in our lives.
Growing in Jesus Christ and depending on Him, gives us power and courage to slay the dragon “I’ with all its baggage.
We are told “…the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4 HCS)
The smile on our face and the “knowing” in our life helps lost neighbors, friends and family see us winning our spiritual battles and they wonder about us.
In fact, God’s word says “…..always be ready to answer everyone who asks you to explain about the hope you have.” (1Peter 3:15, NCV)
God is a gentleman. Even after we choose His Son for our life, He still lets us decide who we listen to on a daily basis.
God equals contentment.
