BETWEEN THE LINES
SAM ADAMS SAID IT BEST
Exclusive: Joseph Farah laments 'the absolute celebration of transgenderism' in America
“When people are universally ignorant and debauched in their manners, they will sink under their own weight without the aid of foreign invaders.” – Samuel Adams (1775)
Yes, Sam Adams said it best.
Too many Americans are ignorant and debauched in their manners – prepared to sink under their own dead weight without the aid of foreign invaders.
I see it every day.
Do you?
My “colleagues” in the media are prime examples.
They celebrate perversity and abhorrent behavior with daily stories about people whose biggest and most notable accomplishment is changing their God-given sexuality – as if this could actually be done.
I just finished reading a story about Danica Roem, a very confused person running for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. His-her claim to fame? He became a “woman” – with the aid of surgery, I presume.
We don’t learn much about Roem’s history other than this. He-she is 32 – and, if he-she wins his-her bid for this auspicious office, he-she would become the third sexual pretender to ever be elected to a state legislature who has change sex.
Wow!
Do the American people understand what courage means anymore? Do they understand what sacrifice means in the name of liberty? Do they understand the price that has been paid by brave men and women over the last 241 years to keep America – the greatest nation in the history of the world – free, prosperous and safe? Do they understand achievement?
I don’t know. I just don’t know.
What else do we know about Roem?
He-she sings in a heavy metal band. And apparently Roem is a former journalist. No word on what he-she does for a living these days.
As Roem sees it, those are major qualifications for office.
“Just because I sing in a heavy metal band while spinning my head in circles and getting paid to do it, why can’t I run for government?” he-she asks. “Why would I have to change who I am in order to run for government? I’ve already had to go through transformative change.”
And the really good news?
He-she is just one of 20 transgender candidates running for office this year.
Isn’t that progress?
Doesn’t it make you proud of your country?
Do I need to tell you which party this bright, young future leader belongs? I think not. But while facing three other opponents in the Democratic primary, Roem is getting scads more national attention than the other three combined.
Should Roem win, it would mark the only time a transgender was elected to Virginia’s House of Delegates.
Since when are self-mutilation or pretending to be something you are not an attribute, a qualification, a highlight on a resume?
That’s what I’m asking myself these days.
This mindset is now so prevalent that males who say they feel more like women are permitted to compete with them in competitive sports. How is that fair? Why is it that only men who say they feel like women can compete with women? Isn’t that a tad subjective? Didn’t we used to check chromosomes to ensure the integrity of women’s sports?
Come on! Where’s the common sense these days? If I say I feel like a ham sandwich, does that entitle me to get on the menu of a non-kosher deli?
The end result of this cultural phenomenon – the absolute celebration of transgenderism – is twisting the minds and hearts of young people across the country. It is not only causing gender confusion, it is causing mass cultural disorientation and societal irrationality.
There’s nothing heroic about transgenderism. There is nothing about it that is laudatory. I feel compassion and sympathy for those who are confused about their sex and uncomfortable in their own skin. But the decision to act like something you’re not, or worse, resort to surgery to transform yourself into something you can never be, is, frankly, just sad.
It’s ironic, too. Feminists – big-time allies of the transgender movement – have been telling us for years to overcome gender stereotypes. Yet, look what transgenders do! They adopt those stereotypes in dress, in hairstyles, in cosmetics, etc.
Am I the only one who can’t understand this distinction?

My comments: Transgenderism is part of today's Attack on God and His Word. It is being led by the "god" of this Age, Satan, the arch enemy of God, who Rules this Wicked World for the time being. (1 John 5:19)
